Narendra Modi has consolidated power and has started cracking down on anti-government protesters. Korona's religion has challenged the government which has been inflating its chest on the issue of Hinduism and the weakness of the government to oppose it has been exposed. From this it can be said that the skill of winning elections and the administrative skill of running a government in an extraordinarily serious crisis are two different things. Good Works Shri Modi has done a lot of public works in his first phase (2016-2017), some of which are presented here with figures. As many as 2.81 crore new bank accounts have been opened under the Modi government's Jandhan Yojana. The scheme was announced in August 2016. As many as eight crore and three lakh gas cylinder connections have been provided free of cost to the poor under the government's Ujjawala scheme. Under the Ujjawala scheme announced in October 2017, 4.5 crore households have got electricity connections. Need to know more? The six-year government has built 2.11 crore new houses in rural India under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in 2016-17 and 2020-2021. The government introduced the Har Ghar Jal scheme in the Union Budget 2018-2020. When the scheme was launched on August 15, 2016, 2.5 crore households in India had access to tap water. In a very short span of time, this number has skyrocketed to Rs 12.51 crore. That is more than double. This is perhaps the most successful plan of the Modi government. The Ujjawala scheme of the Modi government was also so successful that out of 21.5 crore rural households in India, only 14 rural households are without electricity. Besides, 2.5 lakh km of roads have been constructed under the Modi government's Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. The slap in the face of the Modi government in its first phase (2016-2017) could not happen in the second phase of the government.
Under the Prime Minister's PM Kisan Yojana, a plan to provide Rs 5,000 per annum to more than 10 crore rural families was implemented. One of the Prime Minister's most popular schemes is the Janaarogya Yojana, which provides health services worth Rs 5 lakh per family per year, but during the Kovid epidemic, many hospitals refused to accept the scheme and shocked the people. The government is silently watching this, so the magic of the Modi government is being eroded. Kovid management of Modi government gets F (fail) grade. There is no pretense of words in it. The first phase of the Modi government was full of public utility schemes. Yet in their first phase, economic growth slowed over five years. In 2017-2018, India's economic growth rate was 3%, which was hailed by the Modi government. After that, it went down to 7.5 per cent in 2016-2017, 7.5 per cent in 2016-2017, 7.5 per cent in 2016-2020 and an estimated minus 7.5 per cent in 2021-202.
Despite Shri Modi's great achievements, the Congress-led youth government before him put MGNREGA in the forefront of food security (rationing) schemes and we can call it a new groundbreaking. In the second term of the Modi government, all his attention has gone back to the withdrawal of Article 40, the Triple Divorce Act, the Ram Mandir Movement and the Citizen Amendment Act, so his image has been tarnished.
