Farhan Akhtar's stormy punch on OTT

- Director Rakesh Omprakash and I decided from the beginning to have a natural look for the film and to cultivate the body for it. So we already decided not to use prosthetics (to wear rubber wraps to make the body look muscular).

Producer, director, actor Farhan Akhtar was last seen in the film 'The Sky Is Pink' released in 2012 and now he has made an entry in the digital world. His sports drama film 'Tufan' is making a splash in the digital world. People are liking this movie a lot.

Such reactions are being felt everywhere and at the same time the hard work and struggle of Farhan Akhtar for this film is being appreciated. Farhan becomes a boxer in this film, but the film is not just about boxing, it has exposed a lot of human aspects. It is equally interesting and interesting to know from what point of view Farhan Akhtar views this film.

It is not enough for a boxer to have a muscular body, says Akhtar. "It took a lot of energy and commitment," he said. I don't want to tell you that I did a lot of exercise for this role, because it's boring. The role required him to be physically strong - that was the demand of the role. It was also mentally tough.

I used to practice boxing in school, but it was limited to a few months, but practicing it as an artist was exciting for me. However, preparing a lot for this is a different matter. This exercise was very tiring and in the beginning I often had difficulty in breathing. I believe in keeping myself fit and that has been helpful to me and so I have been able to stay mentally functional. I do exercise regularly, but this is the first time this has happened for a film and I have to prepare more seriously for this. '

Speaking about the body look, Farhan says, "Director Rakesh Omprakash and I decided from the beginning to have a natural look for the film and to cultivate the body for that." So we already decided not to use prosthetics (to wear rubber wraps to make the body look muscular). I believe that a person is normal to some part of his journey, but then whatever he achieves, it shows. It takes a lot of effort to gain weight.

I was given three months to give the body the right look. I used to eat whatever I could get my hands on, but in terms of the process, I also felt that this was fun, but only for the first week. It was harder to build muscle after more health. However, this is only a part of the film. However, most of the time people just feel like what will happen now? However, in developing the body, I had to constantly eat more grilled chicken and salads. '

"We only shot the film for four days before the first lockdown was announced. I just got into my character. Didn't even talk to anyone for this. I was just thinking about how I wanted to look and on the other hand all the gyms were closed. I didn't get a chance to train anywhere. Thus, basically I was thinking about my role for a longer time than my look. It was a kind of hangover because I was living in my character. It took me a long time to work for this film and the reason was lockdown, 'said Farhan.

This is the second film after 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' in which I am working with Rakesh Omprakash Mehra, but 'Tufan' is a completely different film. 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' has a lot to do with the past. While this film is about the commitment to fulfill the promise. The two are very different.

The working relationship between Rakesh and me is very good. So hopefully we can do more films too. I have full faith and confidence in them in their ability. He has given me enough space. What is the attitude of the people towards the film and how do they compare it with the previous film, which is very different from the previous film. Rakesh and I have tried to make a film as good as possible. Now the audience will judge our efforts, 'said Farhan.

"I'm really looking forward to seeing how people react to the film," Farhan added. The film was supposed to be released in November 2020, but was later extended to May and is now released in July. Apparently, the reasons for lengthening the film are well known.

There is no environment in the country where a film can be released. Now people are slowly turning to normalcy and I hope this film will communicate positivity in their lives. And a smile on his face. ' This is your first film released on OTT, was this a plan? - In this regard, Farhan says, 'Yes. And that's why I feel so eager. How viewers watch it. That is why this film will be seen in all the countries. '

"Films that are made as sports films do not depend entirely on sports," says Farhan. "It's about the people, it's about the characters." Any story can go ahead if the story appeals and a film is made on it only when the story appeals. The film is a story of one person's struggle and human friction. There is sport in the background. Whether it is sports or music, if one looks at the human and emotional aspects in it, it can attract the audience.

You are emotionally involved with every loss or every success. If boxing is a sport, then you have to get involved with it automatically. For me, this film is not just about boxing, but there is a lot in it that will attract the audience, 'said Farhan Akhtar.
