Natural Wonder of Ladakh: Gravity Hill

In India's Ladakh, the Leh-Kargil-Srinagar highway, 30 km from Leh, passes over a hill. This place is at an altitude of 11,000 feet above sea level. This hill has nothing in common but the experience of climbing the slope is amazing. This hill has become a center of attraction for pilgrims. Normally vehicles coming down the slope run automatically but vehicles going up the slope on this hill run automatically.

At the top of the hill, a powerful magnet seems to be pulling the vehicle. The plane passing over the hill also seems to be descending attracted by the hill. However this is just an illusion. Although many researches have been done, no magnetic force or other force has been found in the hill. There are such hills in many places in the world.

It is known as Gravity Hill, Magnetic Hill, Magic Hill. Passengers are thrilled to see this wonder. There are such hills in Aurora, Bowen Mountain and Victoria in Australia. There are five such gravity heels in Canada and one in China. Boards are placed next to the Gravity Heel describing its characteristic. People automatically go to see vehicles climbing the slope.
