Prajapati had two beautiful daughters. One Siddhi and the other Ridhi When Prajapati took his daughters to Lord Shankar, Parvati said that both the girls should marry Ganesha. Thus, Ridhi and Siddhi got married to Shri Ganesh. Siddhi had a son named Shubh. Ridhi was blessed to have a son. Merchants invoke Shri Ganesha by writing the names of both in their books.
Maharshi Vyas commissioned Lord Ganesha to write the Mahabharata. If a graft is needed, one of the two teeth will be removed and a graft will be made. Hence it is called Ekdanta. There are eight shrines of Ashta Vinayak Ganesha in Maharashtra. One of them is Mathureshwar Vinayak. This area is close to Pune. This area is called Moregaon. There were a lot of blooms here. Ganapati's worshiper Moreya Ganapati performed a very fierce penance. Due to the devotion of the devotee, the name of Maurya became associated with Ganapati. Thus people chant 'Ganapati Bapa Morya'.
