Google plans to shift production of its Pixel smartphones from China and shift to Vietnam this year. The reason for doing so is that the company wants to avoid rising tariffs due to higher Chinese labor costs and a war that began between the US and China. According to a report, the US Internet giant is preparing to produce a Pixel phone at an old Nokia factory in Bagh Nih, a northern Vietnam province.
According to the report, the company has begun the process of producing most of its hardware manufactured in the United States from China. Including Pixel phones and its smart speaker, Google Home. This is an important decision in view of the growth of Google's smartphone market as the company aims to produce 80 million to 10 million smartphones this year. Meanwhile, Google is also planning to unveil two new Pixel 4 and 4XL phones in the Pixel Series. The duo will be launching in October.
Earlier, it was learned about Google that Google had decided to discontinue Google Hire, its own job application tracking system launched two years ago. This information was officially provided by the company. The company met with former Alphabet board member Diane Green and produced Hire.
