A festival of light that illuminates life: Deepavali


Indian culture has been paramount. Every festival here has been a great religious-spiritual as well as social great. So the teaching of all these festivals is highly inspiring. Parvo inspires human life to progress by enlightening. Shirmor of these festivals, Mahaparva Dipotsav of light also 'Tamso ma jayotigamaya' i.e. it indicates the direction of going from darkness to dawn.

The word Deepavali is derived from the treaty of Deep and Avali. Deep means lamp and avali means string. Deeponi's defeat. Mala means Diwali. Diwali has been a high festival in every festival of the year. That is why Diwali has been given the same place as the 'Queen' of festivals, these festivals are celebrated for seven days from Ekadashi to Bhai Beej.

The significance of this festival also increases as the story of Rajaram's coronation is woven with Diwali. According to the mythology, on the day of Diwali, Lord Ramachandraji re-entered the city of Ayodhya after completing his fourteen years of exile. At that time, Raja Ram, the beloved of the people and the heart of Ayodhya, lit the lamps on the dark night of Amas and made the town glow. Due to which the dark night of Amas was illuminated by light. Since then, from the time of Ramayana till today, Amas of Asomas has been celebrated all over India as a festival of light.

Truth always triumphs over falsehood, light against darkness. This is why Dipotsav lamps are lit in every house during the Diwali festival. The message of which is to spread auspicious thoughts in the human mind and to illuminate it with Ojas-Tejas by removing the darkness of sadness in their minds.

With the festival of Diwali, traders celebrate the auspicious time of buying books with Chopda Pujan in the evening. So Lakshmiji is faithfully worshiped in 'Shadshopchare' with good wishes that increase happiness and prosperity in the house. So during the days of this festival, it is customary to make a new rangoli every day in the front yard of the house from eleven o'clock.

Festivals of the country have always seen a specialty. The spirit behind this survey tradition and custom is to take human life to a higher level through noble values. The spiritual contemplation of the festival of Diwali also suggests refining human life. There is a symbolic idea behind illuminating the dark night of Diwali with a ghee lamp. No matter how dense the darkness outside, the light of the lamp in the distance should always be bright. The light of hope, faith and auspicious thoughts should be spread to remove the outer darkness. Thus, once a year, Diwali, the only human being who is suffering from natural calamities, difficulties, remorse, gives him self-empowered power and drives him towards Jyotiprakash. Because of which he can face such a calamity with courage. On the first day of the second New Year after Diwali, 'Annakutno Mahotsav' is celebrated in the temples. That is, at the feet of the Lord, the devotees bow down to the grace of their Lord by carrying various food dishes, dried-green nuts, spices, arecanuts, beeda, perfume-saffron etc.
