Maharaj Khatwang of Suryavanshi Ikshvaku clan meditated on God for the last two hours of his life and attained liberation.

- Nothing was dearer to the Khatwang king except the excellent verse Bhagwan. He was doing his duty by believing in Bhagavatseva out of duty. He took a vow of refugee service

My nephew became a king named Rohit in the dynasty of Ikshvaku. In Rohit's dynasty, a son named Sagar was born to Bahuk Raja. He had a son named Anshuman from his wife named Keshini. He had a son named Dilip. He had a son named Bhagirath who performed hard penance and pleased Shivaji and Ganga. Sixty thousand Sagar sons - Gangaji was sent down from heaven to earth for the salvation of his ancestors. In the clan of Suryavanshi Bhagirath Raja, Vriddhasharma, the son of Vishwasah Raja, became king. Their son, Edward, had a son named Khartwag. The character and information of this Khatwang king is available in the 21st chapter of Draunaparva of Mahabharata, in the 7th chapter of Shantiparva and in the ninth chapter of the ninth wing of Srimad Bhagavat Mahapuran In the same lineage, Lord Shriram was incarnated in the fifth generation.

King Khatwang was religious from birth. He was a Yajna lover and performed various Yajnas. In his yajna, Vishwavasu etc. 30,000 Gandharvas were singing. In his Yajna, Swadhyay Ghosh, the tune of Veda recitation and Jaya Ghosh i.e. the tinkling of the bow's tail and the promises of 'Apo-Apo' were constantly heard. The excellent verse was dear to the Khatwang king except the Lord. He was doing his duty by believing in Bhagavatseva out of duty. He took a vow of refugee service. His bravery and prowess was such that when the gods were defeated by the asuras they sought his help. Thus once he defeated the Asuras and re-established the gods in heaven and returned to earth, the gods were pleased and asked him to ask for blessings as he wished.

Maharaj Khatwang was already disgusted with the victims. He did not have the slightest attachment to the false temptations of the world. He thought- if life is too long then it is right to do this state-governance etc. conscientiously and ethically. But if this is not the case and life is short then the only way to cross the Bhav Sagar from this human body should be done. If we don't do self-salvation in this birth, then who knows how many times we have to go back to the cycle of 3 lakh vaginas. These gods are also under the control of the senses. His senses are also fickle. He also did not experience the self-existent element in his conscience. How can he liberate me when he himself is devoid of self-knowledge? So he asked the gods- 'Please tell me how much life I have left?'

The gods said to Maharaj Khatwang- 'Rajan, your life is now only one moment, that is, two hours left. According to the current time measure, one hour is 3 minutes. Knowing this, Maharaj Khatwang boarded a plane moving at the speed of thought without wasting a single moment and reached Ayodhya on earth. He did not ask the gods to extend his life. But he spent the rest of his life in Bhagavatsambandha and tried to get rid of the cycle of birth and rebirth.

It is shown in the ninth chapter of the ninth Skandha of Srimad Bhagavatam that this time Maharaj Khatwang says. 'The deity of my clan is the clan of Brahmins. I do not consider my prana, sons, Lakshmi, Rajya and my beloved wives as special. My intellect has not played in Kadiya Adharma even in childhood. I have seen nothing but God in the survey objects of the world. 'Atheshmayarachiteshu sang Guneshu Gandharvapuropameshu. Rudh prakrityaddatmanivishva kartubhavena hitva tamah prayadye .. Iti vyavasito buddhaya hitvanyabhavamjnanam tat: swam bhavamashrit. Yat tad Brahman par sukshmashunyam shunyakalpitam. Bhagwan Vasudeveti yan grnanti hi satvata .. So now I surrender to God, leaving behind the fear of God, created by the love of God and instinctively ingrained in false, virtual subjects like Gandharvanagar i.e. mirage. Thus, with the omnipresent Prabhudarshan's determined intellect, I have renounced ignorance and otherwise attained self-realization. The sages call this self-form the subtlest and zero-voiced Brahman and the devotees call it Lord Vasudeva. '

Maharaj Khatwang's last days prove the matter. Whether it is for two hours, even for a moment or two, if one meditates on the form of God with unique shelter, with passion, he becomes a liberator.
