My earth, my life.

- Everyone is talking about saving the earth, everyone is holding hands and thinking that someone will do it, but that is not going to change.

Born and raised in Ben Galuru, Poonam Kasturi is an industrial designer as well as an entrepreneur. In 19, he did an industrial designer course from NID and worked in companies. Poonam, who works as a faculty member at the Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology in Bengaluru, saw that land, water and air are the basic sources of human life.

Without it a person's life cannot survive. Despite knowing all this, we seldom use these invaluable resources of nature responsibly. He set up a 'Daily Dump' with the idea that in the future the problem of waste in metros would take on a monstrous form, one should wake up in time to avoid it, and set up a daily dump and teach people the art of composting. Learn about the process of making compost before thinking about how to make a device to make compost.

With all this preparation, the biggest question for her was how to motivate the people living in the city to work to make compost from their household waste, but Poonam thought the problem was so big and frightening for the future that she decided to go to the Daily Dump in 2008. Started.

To make compost, he made composters with beautiful and attractive designs from terracotta, which can live comfortably on the balcony of the house. The composter had three sections. In it you can keep your vegetable and fruit waste and put a powder in it, which you can get from the daily dump. This procedure has to be done on a daily basis. These powders provide enough carbon and oxygen from the holes in the composter, so there is no odor. If compost is made from this waste, the waste load will be much less.

If a person does not have a garden or a place to keep compost in his house, he can keep compost near a tree, garden or in front of the house. Many people use this today. Explaining the reason behind its success, Poonam says that the main reason is that people's beliefs have changed. They believed that making compost like this at home would take a lot of time and effort.

Which is both wrong. Even if you have to close the house and go out of town, there is no need to worry. Poonam says, ‘My job is just to make it easier by giving them pleasure. Today, at the age of thirteen or fourteen, all I have to say to him is that it is very easy to make compost in this way and after making it, you will feel very good for it. '

Poonam Kasturi sold her first composer for Rs. People did not accept this as an alternative to waste management. The government also believed that nothing like this would be possible. Poonam clarified her objective by answering all the questions. Some even said that this is not our job. We pay taxes to the government, so why do we do this? So some people will smell the garbage in the house.

There was a fear that if flies, mosquitoes and other insects came, the family would get sick. Poonam had to work very hard to change all these beliefs. The composter he made from terracotta is artistic. Composters are made in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan and Assam. Today, Daily Dump operates in seventeen cities in India, the United States and Dubai.

Concerned about the current state of the environment, 6-year-old Poonam says that thousands of tons of waste are dumped on the earth every day. Waste from factories pollutes the water and smoke from vehicles pollutes the air.

Everyone is talking about saving the earth, everyone is holding hands and thinking that someone will do it, but that is not going to change. For that, people have to be awakened and make a positive contribution by implementing small measures in daily life. One should build a personal relationship by connecting oneself with the earth.

M. living in Imphal, Manipur. Manihar Sharma's life was spent in poverty. His mother died when he was eight or nine years old. Then his faiba grew up living there. Manihar, who studied only up to standard ten, studied up to standard six at home. After completing 10th standard, he got a job in the engineering department on a daily wage basis for two years. He then worked as a salesman in a shoe store. He then started driving auto rickshaws and worked as the secretary of the Auto Rickshaw Association.

He stopped driving the rickshaw in the 19th when his health was not good. Then in 19 I started a small restaurant. His restaurant was running well, but the doctor who went to him for regular check-ups asked for help at his hospital. Manihar thought that if he got such a permanent job, he would have time to do different research, which was his wish for years. So he accepted the job.

One day the doctor was late coming to the hospital. The reason was that when the electricity came, there was no one to fill it, so we had to fetch water from the lake. Hearing his problem, Manihar said that he would find a solution to this problem. Similarly, while walking with a friend, a water tank in a house overflowed and water was flowing. Seeing the water being wasted, he thought that something had to be done. In 19 he built the first prototype of an automatic pump operator, but could not bring it to the level of innovation due to financial difficulties. Created an automatic pump operator in 2006 with the help of Manipur Science and Technology.

He then did a training course from the Central Institute of Plastic Engineering and Technology. After about fifteen years of hard work, he finally made seven models of 'automatic pump operator'. Which work differently. In the pump working from the control panel, if the water in the tank goes below a certain level, the pump turns on automatically and when the tank is full, the pump shuts off. He was awarded the National Award by the National Innovation Foundation in 2006 for his research.

He then created an innovative dryer to dry vegetables and fruits. He has built an incense stick making machine. Manihar saw that most of the women in Manipur were engaged in silk work. It takes a lot of time to fill and spin the silk thread in Bolin by hand. There are many such machines available in the market for this work, but it is difficult to work with such machines as there is a problem of electricity in rural areas, so he built a solar powered 'Solar Silk Reeling cum Spinning Machine'.

He has also received a national award for this machine. In this machine both reeling and spinning of silk can be done simultaneously. Powered by both solar and electricity, the machine is environmentally friendly. As it is small, it also weighs less, so it can be easily carried anywhere.

This type of machine is also made if one has more silk work. It comes in machines of one, three and five units, the price of which starts from eleven thousand to seventy thousand rupees. So far they have sold eighty machines.

The National Innovation Foundation seeks patents for three of its inventions. It has received a patent for an innovative dryer. The foundation is helping Manihar develop and market its machines. Manihar Sharma thinks deeply about the problems around him and finds solutions. 6-year-old Manihar Sharma has built a workshop in his own house. He credits his success to many people he met in his life journey. They advise everyone to understand and work on a new idea that comes to their mind.
