Not the knowledge of Guru B, not the light

Ashadh Sud Poonam is the birthday of Maharshi Ved Vyas, the author of the Mahabharata. We also celebrate this day as 'Gurupurnima' or 'Vyas Purnima'. Gurupurnima is the day to glorify Guruji and the day to accept Guruji's debt. The festival of worshiping Guruji's feet is called 'Gurupurnima'. In our culture, the tradition of Guru-Shishya is very glorious. If a Sadguru is found, the bed of a human being is crossed. That is why it is said that 'Sa Vidya ya Vimuktaye' i.e. 'Vidya that gives liberation' is the Sadguru who imparts Param Vidya which takes man to the divine state of Ego Brahmasmi and Tatvamasi.

On the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, let us pay homage to all the persons who have given us knowledge and become our guides by considering them as our Guru. Our parents are the first Guru to make our life brighter. That is why it is said that 'a mother needs a hundred teachers.' Let us also pay homage to the parents who have taught the child the lessons of sacrament since childhood by considering him as a guru. Let us bow down to the Surve Guruji who sanctifies the disciples by flowing the river of knowledge. Let us salute the survey persons who have guided us in our life by considering them as Guru.
