Gujarat Hoy Ko Uttar Pradesh co-operation campaign is being carried out vigorously. Even when Nirmala Sitaram presented the last budget, a separate department for co-operation has been set up as per the announcement made to create a separate account for the co-operation department.

With the goal of achieving prosperity through cooperation, the Modi government is preparing a completely separate co-operation account. The department of co-operation will work to strengthen the co-operative campaign as a real people's campaign. It is being planned to increase the prosperity of the people in the rural areas through this cooperative campaign. Because everyone works very responsibly on a small scale. Cooperatives will also be activated by the government through a new ministry so that they can easily move into business to increase their income. The department of co-operation will also work to take the plans to double the income of farmers to a more serious level by 202. There is another big advantage. Through it the government will be able to reach the smallest man. The government has already given the impression that it is committed to climb the ladder of development in collaboration with certain communities or castes. The smallest man will understand the need. The votebank of the poor and the little men is to get the government. The government has to reach out to them through the co-operative department to get this votebank. People in rural areas are also realizing that little is being done to increase their economic prosperity. This operation will be further accelerated with the help of an account for full cooperation. The new co-operation department will also try to put multi-state cooperative banks on a more modern footing. Because now the size of multi state cooperative bank is also getting bigger than before.

Thus, the talk of merger of state co-operative banks with district co-operative banks has also started. A law has also been prepared for this. The Reserve Bank has indicated its readiness to approve. Consent from the State Government is required before the Reserve Bank approves. Ajay Patel, chairman of the Gujarat State Cooperative Bank, says that at present, the Gujarat State Cooperative Bank's reserve is higher than 5 per cent of the bank's requirement. The condition of district co-operative banks in Gujarat is also not bad. In these circumstances, there is no need for merger of district co-operative banks. This issue is usually considered when the district bank is weak.
