Even superpower America is not exempt from poverty and hunger

The situation of the middle class families in the superpower country has become very dire after the Koro epidemic.

As soon as the name of America is mentioned, the picture of an affluent rich country emerges. Despite being the world's number one economy and superpower with an average per capita income of more than ૬૬ 5,000, the country also has a problem of poverty and hunger. Poverty peaked as schools, restaurants, business offices and factories closed to prevent the spread of the Covid-12. In the short notice period, millions of jobs were snatched away. At the time, the federal government announced various relief packages, including a 1,200 per capita payment and unemployment insurance benefits. Due to the relief package, the poverty rate remained under control from March to July 2020, but with the end of the relief benefits, there was a sharp rise in poverty, unemployment and food insecurity. Information about this has also come out in a study recently.

According to the Population Survey Annual Social and Economics, the average household income in the United States fell from ૯ 50 in 2012 to ૬૭૫૨ 21 in 2020. That is a decrease of 5% in revenue. This is the first time since 2011 that the average household income has declined significantly. The average income of non-Hispanic whites, Asians and Hispanics also fell by 3%. The average earnings for all employees aged 18 and over have dropped from 205 to 215 between 2015 and 2030. Between 2015 and 2020, the total number of full-time workers fell by 12.5 million. That includes 4.5 million women. The official poverty rate was 11.5 per cent in 2020 as against 10.7 per cent in 2016. Poverty has risen for the first time during the Corona epidemic after five consecutive years of decline.

There are an estimated 2.7 million more people in 2015 than in 2015, when 4.5 million people were poor. Between 2015 and 2020, the poverty rate among non-Hispanic whites and Hispanic whites increased. Non-Hispanic whites have a poverty rate of 7.5 percent, while Hispanics have a poverty rate of 12.5 percent. The poverty rate among Asians is 7.1 percent. The poverty rate under the age of 18 has risen from 12.5 per cent in 2016 to 16.1 per cent in 2020. The poverty rate in the United States was 5.8 percent in June, up from 11.5 percent in November. This is the largest increase in a single year since the poverty data was recorded at 150.

As of April 3, 2020, there has been an increase in the rate of food deficiency among all income-generating groups in the United States. There is no doubt that families earning less than હજાર 50,000 a year were still short of basic necessities. Not only that, but families with an annual income of less than ૭૫ 5,000 also faced a food crisis between April and December 2020. Emergency services such as food banks and food panties played a key role in rescuing middle-income Americans, especially middle-income Americans, from the deficit crisis by the end of 2020.

The results were good in states where food bank-type services were well-organized.

However, it is worth noting that middle-income people had less knowledge about government schemes than low-income people. For example, I did not know how to enroll in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistant program. A variety of food organizations and associations also helped at such times. Food shortages have been felt in the United States since the beginning of the Corona epidemic. In a situation like lockdown, there were scenes of people standing in search of food among the long queues of job losers.

According to the US Department of Agriculture, the food insecurity rate, which was 4.7 per cent on April 4, 2020, rose to 12.5 per cent on December 31. However, experts believe that the real situation of deficit insecurity will be realized by the end of 2021 and in 205 when short-term plans for the epidemic will expire. An organization called What to End Hunger came up for discussion during the US election last year.

The organization is campaigning for the complete eradication of hunger in the United States by 2020. Free food was seen being distributed outside polling stations during the US election. TV coverage featured the voices of starving families. There are also communities in the United States that are forced to rely on government assistance. Experts believe that there is no reason to believe that there is no hunger in America. The Corona epidemic has challenged hunger.

It is believed that the votes of the starving people were decisive in the presidential election in America. According to researchers at Northwestern University, 15 to 20 percent of households were experiencing deficit insecurity, with one in five Americans experiencing deficit insecurity. It's not that in Corona's first year, in 2016, 10.3 percent of households in the United States were facing a food crisis.

Hunger is a curse for the whole world it has a direct relationship with unemployment. By the end of December, more than 50 million people were starving, according to the largest hunger relief organization in the United States. According to the Brookings Institution, an estimated 1.4 million children have not received adequate food since July. Distribution inequality in developing countries was also observed in the United States.

The Corona virus deficit relief program provided સહાય 15 billion in aid each, but the benefits accrued not to small farmers and laborers but to large farmers. In a country like America, the presidential election usually does not have issues like hunger but this was seen in the confrontation between Trump and Biden. Poverty and unemployment have also increased during the Corona period, with a મહા 12 trillion economic boom.
