The great gem of Jain rule: Maharaja Kumarapala

- A king like Kumarapala and a guru like Hemchandracharya: neither ghosts nor future

- Eye oyster, distance pearl-Acharya Shri Vatsalyadeep Suriji

The political history of India is unimaginable. Gurjar Naresh Raja Siddharaj wanted my son to be the king of Gujarat in future. The prince had not yet been born in their home. King Siddharth's age began to grow. They went to the great man Hemchandracharya Maharaj. I begged him to bless me with a son.

Kalikal Sarvajna Shri Hemchandracharya Maharaj said, 'You are not likely to have a son.'

King Siddharth was disappointed.

King Siddharth's nephew's name was Kumarapala. Kumarapala was the nephew of the king but Siddharth did not like him. He did not want to be king after himself. For that he ran soldiers for years to kill Kumarapala.

But Kumarapala was so virtuous that he never came within the reach of Siddharth's soldiers and one day Kumarapala was established as king on the throne of Gujarat.

After King Kumarapala became the Gurjar king, he bowed at the feet of his Sadgurudev Hemchandracharya Maharaj and requested that, I have committed many sins during my lifetime. Once inadvertently grabbed someone's money. Have eaten meat. Have drunk alcohol. After sitting in your discourse, I have come to know that all these events lead to terrible sins. Show me the cult of liberation from it. Do me a favor

Shri Hemchandracharya Maharaj was influential but to maintain peace in any situation. He said, 'Build a jinalaya for the memory of your father, build a jinalaya for the welfare of your soul, build a storehouse of knowledge for the welfare of your family, build many cages for the decay of your sins and perform religious devotion for the creation of inexhaustible virtue.'

King Kumarapala remembered the promises of his Gurudev. Tribhovanpala erected Chaitra in memory of his father. He himself built many genealogies. Prepared many knowledge treasures. Gurudev made all the arrangements for the scriptures that were being written. Built several cages. Constructed Tarang Tirth. Forgive the debt of all Jains of Gujarat.

Raja Kumarapala remembered that when he was having breakfast out of fear of Raja Siddharth, he was shaken when he heard a woman crying. He went to the woman and asked, 'Why are you crying?' The woman said, 'Her husband is dead, she has no children. That is why King Siddharth's men are taking away all his wealth. '

It happened to Kumarapala, why is this going on! This whole thing is inhumane. One is that the woman's husband has died. Now there is no one to take care of him and even to grab his wealth! He thought to himself that when he became king, he would change this rule in the kingdom.

King Kumarapala remembers the experience after he became king, one day suddenly the state officials came to the palace with a crying woman. King Kumarapala trembled knowing the whole case. He reached his Gurudev. Hemchandracharya Maharaj said that humanity is the greatest religion. What good is a state without humanity?

Raja Kumarapala told the officials that from today, the wealth of the Aputriya family will not be confiscated in this state. What has happened in the past is not true. The wealth of someone's sigh should not be in my treasury. Free this woman and give her back her wealth. That's what happened.

At that time, Gujarat had an annual income of Rs. He left the state. Shri Hemchandracharya Maharaj said, 'Kumarapala he did a very good job.'

The name of Gurjar Naresh Maharaja Kumarapala is very big in Jain history. The information about him is as follows: The public works he has done are as follows: Establishment of 21 Gyanbhandars, construction of 150 Jinalayas, renovation of 15 thousand temples, filling of 5 Jinbimbos, writing work by 200 scribes.
