Deepika Chikhalia in another mythological show after a gap of three decades

- The important thing is that 'Sita' of 'Ramayana' is now coming in another mythological serial 'Jai Maa Vaishno Devi Ki'. Deepika is playing the role of Vaishno Devi's mother 'Maharani Vijaya' in this show.

Ramanand Sagar's 'Ramayana' was re-released on Doordarshan after a gap of three decades after the shooting of serial series was halted during the nationwide lockout imposed last year following the outbreak of the Koro epidemic. In fact, 20 years ago, this legendary serial had Deepika Chikhalia as 'Sita', Arun Govil in the role of 'Ram', Sunil Lahiri in the role of 'Lakshman', Dara Singh in the role of 'Hanuman' and Arvind Trivedi in the role of 'Ravan'. Of course, each of his characters is still remembered today. The serial was aired every Sunday from 9th January of 19th to 31st July of 19th. During this time all the members of the household are left to work and watch TV. Many people even did a video recording of it at the time and later watched it over and over again on the video player. Especially for him, he also installed the most expensive video player available at that time. Large size video cassettes were used for video in the same way that small audio cassettes were the currency at that time. This was the unspoken proof of the popularity of Ramananda Sagar's 'Ramayana'. Of course, it was the most watched serial in the world in the Limca Book of Records until 2006. And even when the series was re-released last year, it broke a number of TRP records. And this year it is aired on a popular channel every evening at 7 p.m.

Importantly, 'Sita' of 'Ramayana' is now appearing in another mythological serial 'Jai Maa Vaishno Devi Ki'. And it is being created by Ramanand Sagar's son Prem Sagar. They say that Deepika is playing the role of Vaishno Devi's mother 'Maharani Vijaya' in this show. It was quite natural to take Deepika for this role. The Vaishno Devi we worship today is born from the aura (subtle radiance) created jointly by Maha Kali, Maha Saraswati and Maha Lakshmi. She assumed the incarnation of Vaishno Devi to protect the religion Is the incarnation of Lakshmi.

Ishita Ganguly is playing the role of Maa Vaishnodevi in this serial. Prem Sagar says about it that Sunil Lahiri gave us the name of Ishita Ganguly for this character. They further say that we were looking for an actress who can create compassion and kindness as well as fear in the wicked. Ishita's big eyes can show these two prices in the same way. He also has knowledge of mythology. When he was asked about the Nag dynasty, he narrated the story of 'Behula'. However, it was only when I saw her for the first time that I realized that this girl could play the role of Vaishnodevi very well. It is full of knowledge of Indian culture and mythology. The creators of 'Ramayana' and 'Shrikrishna' add that now my son Shiva and I are carrying on the legacy of my father Ramananda Sagar to present mythology. And this show is perfect for carrying forward the legacy of 'Ramayana'.

"We shot 11 episodes of the show at Umragam during the epidemic," he added. One of the studios here has also shot many mythological shows in the past. In these 11 episodes we have covered four ages (Sat, Treta, Dwarpar and Kali).

He added that the shooting of the show was delayed by a year due to the epidemic. At one point, we felt we had to drop the show. But with Mataji's blessing we got relief from the lockdown and started shooting. Of course, this was not an easy task for us. Our unit was too big. We also had to use state-of-the-art technology. This show is our most expensive show ever. Its special effects will amaze the viewers. Earlier we had planned to present it on the day of Dussehra. But the epidemic did not make that possible. So now we are planning to release it on my father Ramanand Sagar's birthday, i.e. 5th December.
