What a rare object the star is,
Rain-fall-winter
That love of spring, no love.
No, no, no.
Your arrival is at noon,
If the groundwater has dried up,
The sun in its passionate mood
The tree-valley-plant thirst quenched.
Tears of thirst on the lips
Becomes a single point, ..
That's when you come.
In the middle of summer and on a hot night
Spreads the roots of existence,
Numerous colorful flowers are blooming,
In the morning on my roof
Turns into a romantic poem ..
Each branch salutes
Sa-smit zuki ne,
I ask you-
Burning memory of a favorite character
This is what makes you so happy, my friend
After that you are of infinite suffering
Only children?
Even this laughter ......

Four people from Dahod taluka, who had recently become blind due to superstition, beat the couple on the pretext of witchcraft and shifted the injured middle-aged man under treatment. Dahod district is a tribal-dominated district and there are still many traditions and beliefs in the tribal society over the years. Superstition leads man to make decisions without discretion. Which is a by-product of ignorance.
This statement of the well-known thinker Bertrand Russell is understandable. As long as human beings turn away from the ignorant and ignorant propagandists of the past, such vain proverbs and beliefs are considered as Vedavakya, the hope of a bright human culture will be like living in a meaningless fantasy. Today, after descending on a four-lane road, a man wrapped in a red robe, a coconut or a peeled lemon and a circle made of water around it, and even a man who says, 'I don't believe in superstition, walks carefully in that circle. India is a country where people stop to look at cats more than traffic lights.
Birubala Rabha, a tribal woman from Thakurkala village in Assam, is a human rights activist and social reformer who has been campaigning against superstition in Assam, India for the past 20 years to help those who have been victims of witchcraft and witchcraft. Since 2011 he has also run an organization called 'Mission Birubala'. Breaking the illusion of mantra-tantra, Birubala's organization includes many social workers, victimized women and ordinary villagers. 8-year-old Birubala explains the truth and spreads awareness against the atrocities of the hypocrites who beat and torture women by saying 'witch'. It is also said in Sanskrit that ...
Ignorance Timirandhasya Gyananjan Shalakaya.
Chakshurunmilitan yen tasmai shri gurve namath.
In this verse we greet the Guru who opened the eyes blinded by the darkness of ignorance with the Anjan Shalaka of knowledge. Birubala was instrumental in the enactment of laws by the Assam government to prevent witchcraft and to provide protection to women victims. On the eve of Republic Day 2021, Birubala Rabha was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India for her significant contribution in social work. "This honor is special to me," Birubala said in an interview with Padma Shri. It will always inspire me to continue my work. My courage, my strength is going to grow a lot now.
After receiving the Padma Shri award, Birubala's self-confidence is strong. He is very enthusiastic and rewards those who support him in this campaign. Her father died when Birubala was 7 years old. After that Birubala had to quit his studies and work in the fields with his mother. After marrying a farmer at the age of 18, she was responsible for raising three children by weaving cloth. When in 191, Birubala's eldest son Dharmaveer contracted a mental illness. So Birubala took him to a sorcerer who said that the boy was possessed by ghosts and that he would die in three days. So he ordered his son to be thrown out of the village. But Birubala fought with the whole village to protect his son. His son is still in Shillong Mental Hospital. From then on, Birubala started campaigning against neem-hakims and sorcerers. F. Bacon says that "in all superstitions wise men follow fools". The fact is that wise men follow fools in all matters of superstition. For a tradition that has been going on for years, one never asks what that tradition means. Who started it? Today, even after getting higher education in art, science, medicine or engineering, people blindly believe in hypocritical and profiteering monks or quacks. If one is deceived by the other, the other is deceived by the third. At the same time, he also takes the medicine of the doctor and after recovering from that medicine, he gives credit or success only to the hypocritical fathers.
When Birubala saw that the women of the village were being killed by calling them witches. So he formed an organization of women and raised a strong voice against the atrocities against women. The organization also encourages school going children to stay away from witchcraft and sorcery. Due to Birubala's efforts, the Assam Legislative Assembly has also passed a bill prohibiting witch killings. To date, Birubala has saved the lives of more than 3 women. In which 2 are men. His fight against bigotry and sorcery was not easy.
When a person tries to change the society, he also gets crushed. He has received death threats several times and has been subjected to suicide attacks. He was also told to leave the village but Birubala did not give up. Birubala was determined to eradicate the cults that trampled on the dignity of women in the society and completely ignored the existence of women.
As a result of Birubala's tireless efforts, he was also nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by the North-East Foundation in 2006. His home is filled with countless such awards and honors. Padma Shri is special for them. However, the most important thing for them is the love and respect that people get from women to eradicate this witchcraft practice. In 2013, she was awarded the Women's World Summit Foundation Prize. She has also received honors from the Women's World Summit Foundation, Geneva, Switzerland. Assam University has also awarded a doctorate degree to Birubala with five standard passes. Guwahati Uni has also recently conferred a doctorate on Birubala. Today, if every woman in the country becomes 'Birubala Rabha', then there is no power in a hypocritical, deceitful Baba to take out his work in our country by showing fear of superstition or sorcery and cheating people.
In 2006, the Assam Mahila Samata Society joined Birubala. Then they started fighting not only against superstition but also against incidents like rape and dowry. He saved the life of a woman who was being killed by villagers hanging her upside down on a tree because an evil man had accused her of being a ghost. According to Birubala, some high-ranking people of the village used to play magic tricks to grab the land of a poor person.
By doing so, they would evict the poor man from the village and occupy his land.
Another such incident took place when a woman refused to have sexual relations with a young man and killed the woman by showing her the shadow of a ghost. There are many reasons behind proving someone a 'witch'. In addition to seizing the victim's property, there is also superstition, jealousy or family quarrels.
Birubala explained to the villagers that 'there is no such thing as a witch. If the existence of a witch is, in fact, true, it is not so weak that if someone throws a stone at it, it will do nothing against it and eat it.
So how can a woman who is stoned, unbearably beaten be a witch? ' Gradually the villagers began to agree with him. And his campaign began to expand from one district to another. Later it spread to other states. Birubala was already an active member of the local women's committee of her village.
He has the full cooperation of the police and the administration. "Sometimes people are afraid of me," he says.
They know that if they do something wrong I will call the police immediately. At the behest of me or my organization, the police come immediately.
The police also know how important it is to eradicate such evil practices from the society.
Lemon-chili tied to the door was fine until we started talking about being fascinated, but now there is a plastic lemon-chili in the market as an alternative to it which is hung on the door with the same faith (blind?). Mataji at home in temples
It doesn't make sense to laugh or cry at the sight of industrialization. Yes, the mind must indulge in grief. The understanding of Birubala Rabha descends and expands in all. The same request that everyone should respect the women living around them ...
