Thousands of devotees come to Dakor on foot with the slogan 'Da Korna Thakor Tara Bandh Darwaza Khol'. The pattern of faith and devotion (on foot) has been running. Tirth Dham Dakor is the Kashi of Gujarat.
Vijay Singh, who was born there to Veer Singh and Ratanbhai in Samvat 1918, was today's Bodano Bhavik. This Bodano went to Dwarika for the first time in a union. He danced with a garland of Tulsi on a garland of millions of gems before the first darshan of Lord Dwarikanath. The joy of seeing the Lord was shattered. From the age of twenty, Dwarika used to walk regularly with Tulsi Dal in his hand. He went to Dwarika all his life till he was about 20 years old. Aging is a difficult time. The legs do not work in walking. Bodana requested, "Lord, I am no longer able to walk. Now, in my final state, give me darshan."
This is my last visit. There was immense devotion in the devotion of Bodana. Lord Dwarika Nath was very kind to him. Seeing such devotion, Dwarikanath said, 'Bodana! He walked for 20 years and came to see me (Darshan). Now I am coming to your village Dakor. Bodano brings a broken well and brings Dakor to the Lord. In the form of King Ranchodrai, Samvat 1917 (119 AD) Dev Diwali was ordained. Dwarikanath Devdivali came to Dakor. Initially idols were kept in Dunknath Mahadev. From there this form was established in the temple of Lakshmiji.
Then this divine temple of today was built by Shri Gopal Rao Jagannath Tamebwekar of Tamil village of Satara district of Maharashtra in 19th year. Today thousands of devotees walk to Dakor according to the system of walking from Bodana to Dwarika. Thousands of devotees have done their work with the faith of walking. If there is faith and devotion then God is needed.
