Essentials for shimmering make-up

Step-1 : Apply a very light liquid foundation evenly all over the face and neck. Choose the shade of foundation according to the skin-tone. The foundation evens out the complexion, so that blemishes and wrinkles on the face are hidden.

Step-2 : After applying the foundation, start the make-up with the eyes. Apply a shimmery shade like a transparent to the center of the upper lashes and then define the sides with a darker shade. The entire eye-lid should be covered with eye-shadow.

Step-3 : Now apply shiny black, green or blue eye-pencil like liner. If you apply a matte black liner, the difference between the shimmer eye-shadow and the matte liner will disappear.

Step-4 : Now take the shiny bronzer and apply it on the cheekbones. A peach or pink bronzer would look good.

Step-5: Red, maroon, pink color lipstick looks good with traditional dresses, so first apply a light lip liner of the same color as the lipstick to be applied on the lips. Then fill the lipstick inside the liner with a lip-brush. Allow the lipstick to set for one minute after application. Then apply another coat.

Step - 6 : After settling this make-up, finally apply fairy dust (shiny powder) on the entire face, neck, shoulders and if there is a backless bodice, so that the body will shine.

Step-7 : Now finally do tattoo, bindi or any kind of decoration. By doing all this last, it will not get a layer of make-up on it.

After making up so much, you are ready to play Garba.

Some important points to keep in mind:

Don't overdo it : Glittery makeup looks good at night, but don't overdo it, as shimmery makeup is just to add some shine to the face. Too much shine will make your face look like a disco ball.

Dark and Shimmer Don't Go Together : Too much shimmer won't go well with dark eye-shadow or dark pink blush. This look can be scary as well as ridiculous.
