Sun darshan at midnight, surprising!

It is not believable to see the sun in the sky at midnight but there are few places on earth where the sun is visible even at night. This phenomenon, like a natural wonder, happens at a specific place in a specific period of time.

Earth completes one cycle on its axis in 24 hours. The sun is stationary. That is why day turns into night on earth and sun is not visible for 12 hours. Earth also revolves around the Sun. The duration of this activity is not certain. It is a well-known fact that days are short and nights are long in winter and vice versa in summer.

Earth's axis is tilted at an angle of 23.5 degrees. This oblique axis creates six months of day and six months of night at the poles. On June 21st, the sun is visible for 24 hours from 66 degrees north latitude to 90 degrees north latitude. According to the calendar there are days, nights and time passes. This phenomenon occurs in Alaska, Greenland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, etc. countries near the North Pole. The South Pole region is uninhabited.

Tourists come to see the midnight sun in the town of Hamtfest in Norway. It is also called Midnight Sun City.
