World's Smallest Fox: Fennec Fox


There are many species of jackals known to be intelligent but cunning animals. Foxes with bushy tails are usually about the size of a dog. Found in the Sahara and African deserts, the fennec fox is only one foot long and weighs one kilogram. Four to five inch long ears on a small body are its specialty. It looks different from other foxes because of its large eyes.

The fennec fox, which lives in desert regions where the day is very hot and the night is very cold, has a thick body of hair. This animal lives in herds. Being social means it can be followed. It preys on small animals like mice, squirrels. Fenech can jump two feet. Can survive long without water. Phenex foxes live by creating rates in the ground.
