Anupam Kher is scaling new heights in 'height'

Anupam Kher recently appeared in Rajshree Productions film 'Unchai' opposite Amitabh Bachchan. The film, composed by Sooraj Barjatya, has been released in November.

Most of the films of Rajshree Productions are based on friendship. In 1964, 'Dosti' proved to be a huge hit. Anupam agrees and says Suraj is my good friend. I did my first film 'Saraansh' with him. He was the fifth assistant in this film. Then I did 'Hum Aapke Hai Kaun', 'Vivah' and 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' with him and now 'Unchai' is my fifth film with him.

Elaborating on his relationship with Rajshree, Anupam Kher adds that I became his pillar as he gave me a roof. This film is a little different. Although the film is also on the theme of friendship, the film reaches new heights with Mount Everest as its backdrop.

Anupam loves trekking in real life. Describing the experience of shooting for 'Ucchai', Kher says that coming from a hilly area, I love trekking and enjoyed every moment of the shoot. Climbing up and down the mountains was difficult as the terrain was tough and cold too.

Anupam expressed his happiness at working with actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Boman Irani, saying that working with the entire cast was an amazing experience. All were pioneers in their fields. Working with artists who are skilled in their craft can teach you a lot and make your work easier. I got an opportunity to work with Amitji after many years. I have been working with Bowman for some time now. I have done a few films with Neena Gupta. This is my first film with Sarika. Suraj is proficient in his work. He knows very well what he wants to say in the film. He is clear about his intentions.

Sooraj's films are very elaborate and highlight many festivals of India. But Kher informed that the audience will see the festival of life in this film.

Anupam is a busy artist and currently has many projects lined up. Kher is currently playing an important role in Kangana Ranaut's 'Emergency'. Also working in 'IB 71' and then Satish Kaushik's 'Kagaz 2'. Also produced a film with Anupam K C Bokadia. The director of this film is Gajendra Ahire. The tentative title of the film is 'Signature'. Apart from this, Kher is also doing a Telugu film titled 'Tiger Nageswara Rao'. However, he refused to give more information about it. The Ravi Teja starrer is directed by Vamshi. Kher is also doing a Tamil film called 'Connect'.

About 'height' Anupam Kher says that according to me height means trying out the possibilities you have, going in search of new horizons.
