In India, 36% of the people use the Internet, only 1% of the number of tablet users

In India where cheap internet packs are available worldwide, contradictory reports have emerged about their use. According to a report by the Internet and Mobile Association of India, only 36% of people in India use the Internet.

In the US, Turkey, China and Russia, the numbers are 86,86,60 and 76% respectively. The total Internet users in the country are 45.1 million.

The report contradicts some of the surprising facts that only 33% of the total number of women in the country use the Internet. Next, 38% of urban women and 28% of rural women use the Internet.

So when it comes to men, 67% of men all over the country use the Internet. When it comes to cities, 62% of urban men and 72% of women in the villages use the Internet.

IAMAI said in its report that 86 per cent of the people using internet in India have 4G network, while 13 per cent use 3G network, 4 per cent use 2G network and 6 per cent use internet over Wi-Fi.

IAMAI believes that 99% of users use the Internet on mobile. On the other hand, the number of people who use the Internet on laptops is 6 percent, 4 percent on desktops and one percent on tablets.
