The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) is set to increase the number of phones to 10 soon. TRAI has also issued a report to increase the numbers.
According to the TRAI report, the number of mobile figures is being considered. If the idea of TRAI is implemented then the mobile number will be 11 digits instead of 10.
The report says that the demand for mobile connection in the country is increasing rapidly. It will take up to 2050 to meet the needs of the people regarding the telecom connection in the country. Also, 260 crore mobile numbers will be required. Because of this, TRAI could increase phone numbers.
Currently the mobile number of the series starts at 7,8 and 9 in the country. This series has a capacity of up to 210 million connections. TRAI is also seeking public opinion on the issue.
According to TRAI, the speed of mobile connection has led to the crisis of mobile number resources. Because of this, TRAI seeks to increase mobile phone numbers. Even TRAI can calculate landline figures by 10. Even TRAI is considering increasing the number of dongle connections from ten to 13 digits. Previously, TRAI analyzed twice in 1993 and 2003 on mobile numbers.
It is worth mentioning that in the year 2018 also, such reports were flowing that from July 2018 the mobile number will be 13 digits. However, at that time BSNL disputed the rumor going viral on Twir that the telecommunications department had directed the telecommunications companies to issue 13 digits instead of 10 digits.
This instruction is not issued for personal mobile number but for M2M ie machine to machine communication.
What is M2M Communication
Information is exchanged between two machines in M2M communication. It is generally understood that the payment made by debit or credit card in the shopping mall is through M2M Communication. In which the swipe machine will know your card details and contact the machine bank directly. This contact requires internet, which also requires a SIM card. So far this SIM card was number 10 and now it will be 13 digits.
