Capricorn is a festival of nature. According to the order of the seasons, Sun enters the zodiac in the posh month. So this festival is called Makarasankranti or Uttarayan. Here the word 'transition' is very important and suggestive. Transition is the transition from one place to another. This law of nature is equally relevant to human life. If you think with words, it is not just light in human life.
There is a deep darkness in life, and everyone likes to move from this darkness to the light. That is why our Vedic Rishis have prayed that "ignorance, illusion, sluggishness, superstition, inertia and iniquity etc in human life are indicative of darkness." In such a situation, human beings have to remove ignorance from knowledge, from science to science, from superstition to faith, from inertia to consciousness as well as from evil to worldly creation.
Another meaning of the term 'Sankranti' is the establishment of due diligence. It also requires changing human thoughts and concepts. Of course, if a human being is wise, it can easily be done to change the thoughts that are in his mind. Critics say that Capricorn is a day of 'liberation'. Humans should strive to be free from the effects of work, anger, greed, temptation, alcohol, envy etc.
He should join the satsang and stay away from kusung. Because satsang saves humans while kusung drowns them. As mentioned in our scriptures, many characters like Karna, Dhritarashtra, Duryodhana, Shakuni have been degenerated from Kusung. In such a situation, human beings should always gather in life with great men, saints and gentlemen. A true transition to the same life.
In defining 'Sankranti', Pujya Pandurang Shastri (grandfather) says that Sankranti means union-revolution. It is said that 'Sangh Shakti: Kalouyeg' means 'Union has power'. So wherever there is conflict, tough work becomes easier too. It is only through conflict that the relationship between each other becomes affectionate and sweet.
Microorganisms like affection, goodwill, empathy, forgiveness and generosity make life worthwhile in human life. It is customary to give each other by making lattice sticks at the festival. The viscosity of sesame and the sweetness of molasses removes the bitterness of life. Physically, even sesame and molasses are very confirmable. The tendency of 'sacrificing' animals to forage and to help others is seen behind the festival.
And finally Ishmaar ...
Life-Kite Slogan O Lord!
In this worldly sky
You and the flying kite fly
Lord! That's what my request is
In the whirlwind of the world -
My life - don't kite
Keep it simple.
Yes, it is in your hand.
