A London-based bond vendor working with Citigroup in London has been fired for allegedly stealing food from office staff canteen.

Parrish Shah was accused of carrying a food packet at Canary Wharf in London without having to pay money from the company's headquarters for Europe, media reported.

31-year-old Paras Shah, who did not disclose the allegations, left last month to quit the high-paying Citigroup positions in Europe, the Middle East and Africa for bond trading.

According to Paras Shah's profile, he attended a school in north London and subsequently graduated with economics at Unioff Bath in 2010.

In the same year, Shah joined the fixed income trading division of HSBC where he is believed to receive a million pounds a year. Highfield bond traders buy and sell more risky companies. This is supposed to be a very exciting job.

Some of Shah's colleagues said Paras had many contacts and was successful in the job. Britain's financial institutions are very strict about their staffing abuses. The company, headquartered in New York, declined to comment officially.
