How much do you know about WhatsApp's work settings?

If you have dug deep into the WhatsApp settings, explain to your family members some important things.

It's hard to find someone who has a smartphone in their hand and still doesn't use WhatsApp! Grandparents and little ones are now active on WhatsApp. Even though this app is used day and night, you may have forgotten about some of its key settings or if someone has pointed out.

The Facebook company has changed its terms of use from time to time after the purchase of WhatsApp, which we have no control over, but we can maintain our privacy properly if we understand some of WhatsApp's settings.

Here are some of the settings that need to be considered and appropriate action taken.

Online and the last scene

In WhatsApp, 'online' is a feature that allows another person to see if your phone is currently connected to the Internet and whether you are using WhatsApp in the phone.

We cannot hide our online status in WhatsApp.

While 'Last Scene' is a feature that allows others to see when you were last active on WhatsApp. You can set other people to see your last scene status if you want.

To check this setting:

(1) In WhatsApp, go to Settings, Account and Privacy.

(2) See what is written in the last scene here. If you have typed 'Everybody' then anyone can see when you were last active on WhatsApp.

(3) If you do not want anyone to see this, click on the last scene and select the 'Nobody' option.

Of course, WhatsApp says that if you set your last scene as nobody sees it, you won't be able to see anyone else's setting.

Profile photo
Do you want anyone to see the profile photo you set up in WhatsApp, or do you want only select contacts, close relatives? Generally, WhatsApp has a setting that anyone can view and download your profile photo, to change it:

1) In WhatsApp, go to Settings, Account and Privacy.

2) See what's written in the profile photo here. If 'Everywhere' is typed, anyone can see and download your profile photo.

3) Click on the profile photo to change this setting, and only your contacts (whose number you have saved in your phone) can view the profile photo.

4) If you select the 'Nobody' option, no one will be able to view or download your profile photo, including your contact.

WhatsApp status
1) In WhatsApp we can put status about ourselves and see the status of others.

2) Text messages, videos, photos, etc. can be placed in the status quo which others can view for up to 24 hours.

3) Anyone who is on your contacts list can see the status you have in place. This setting can also happen if you want your status to be visible only to close relatives. Also, in the settings above, go to Account and Privacy and click on Status.

4) Here you can set all of your contact status settings, or some of the contacts may not be able to see it, or you can set as many people as you can see your status.

About
In WhatsApp you can set a sentence about yourself or something you like, by clicking on your profile photo and your account name in Settings.

This information can also be seen by anyone who uses WhatsApp and has your number. It does not matter if you are just typing favorite quotes here, but if you have further introduction here, in the settings above, in the account and in the privacy, you can click on the option, just select 'My Contacts' or 'Nobody'.

Message preview
You know that a small preview of any new message that comes to you in WhatsApp can also be viewed as a notification. Even so, if you do not have the proper settings on the phone, such notification can be avoided even when the phone is locked.

You should not assume that every message that comes to you personally or to the group that you are involved with is correct and no one sees it.

Even worse, there may be a change in WhatsApp for a while so that even the videos coming to you, even when the phone is locked, will appear in the notification and the video will start playing! To control such notification of your incoming message ...

(1) In WhatsApp settings, go to Notifications.

(2) Go to the popup notification and select the option 'No popup'.

(3) You can do this setting for a specific group as well.

(4) Or you can always turn off notifications in your phone's settings, in apps, in WhatsApp.
