'

Purushottam Mass is a very holy festival. This is the best month to have a perfect man. Purnapurushottam is a supernatural opportunity to realize Lord Krishna, the presiding deity of Golokdham, surrounded by Vrindavan Vihari, Rasvihari, Venudhari and Gopas. Fasting, worship, pilgrimage, place, meditation, storytelling, almsgiving and fasting performed during this month receive the unparalleled grace of Lord Sri Hari and attain the supreme position of Golokdham at death.

In Naimisharanya Tirtha, sages like Shaunak etc. asked many questions to Sut Purani. It deals with the curse given to Parikshit by the horned sage, the manifestation of Shukadevji and the Bhagavat story told for Parikshit Moksha This is beautifully described in the story of Purushottam Mahatmya in Sri Brihannardiya Purana. Once Devarshi Narad went to the ashram of Badri Narayan on the banks of Gangaji and said to Narayan who was doing penance there - 'I have come from the world of death. I have come to you to know the remedy for the afflicted. Show me the remedy so that he may turn to the path of piety and attain welfare.

Hearing this, Narayan said to Narada - 'I am telling you the story of the holy month of Purushottam, the recitation, utterance and listening of which and the fasting, chanting, bathing and fasting performed in it destroys human suffering, sorrow, sin, fever, anguish, poverty and misfortune. . It is received in the abode of the devout Lord. Naradaji asked him - 'I have heard about the months of Chaitra, Vaishakh etc. and its lord but have not heard about the Purushottam month. Who is this Purushottam Bhagavan? What is His Majesty! In response, Narayan told the story of the extra month without the solstice of the sun like Malmas.

In the month of Adhik, which is considered taboo in auspicious deeds, the refuge of Lord Vishnu requested the planet to remove its sorrow. Lord Vishnu mounted him on an eagle and took him to Golok Dham and spoke to Lord Krishna about it. Lord Krishna, the perfect man, gave him shelter and gave him his name and glorified him by bestowing many of his virtues. Sut Purani, Shaunak and other sages spoke of the glory of Adhik Mas.

When the Kauravas defeated Yudhisthira by cheating in gambling, the Pandavas had to live in exile for twelve years and in exile for one year! At that time, once Lord Krishna came to meet him in Kamyak forest, Arjuna asked him - 'O Krishna! Is there a way out of our misery? Replying to this, he said to Arjuna - 'Every human being should perform vrat-upasana, jap-tap, upvas-dan and acquire virtue. In a short time Adhik Mas, Purushottam Mas comes.

During this month you fast to Lord Sri Hari. Under its influence, you will be able to regain your lost kingdom, position, rights, wealth, riches, happiness. ' As directed by Lord Krishna, the Pandavas fasted in the Purushottam month and regained their kingdom, fame, glory and auspiciousness. In the eighteenth verse of the fifteenth chapter of the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna says, 'I am beyond Kshara Purusha and even better than Akshara Purusha, so I am famous in the world and in the Vedas as' Purushottam'.
