- Mist became Moti- Kumarapala Desai
Standing on the brink of old age, Veer Mahamantri Vastupal of Gujarat looks at his past life. At the peak of his achievements and fame, this General Secretary is deeply saddened by the memory of his late brother Lunig.
Vastupala-Tejapala achieved immortal achievement by showing unparalleled bravery on the battlefield. Immortal fame was gained by amassing wealth through religion, yet there was a constant feeling in Vastupala's mind that nothing could be done for his elder brother Lunig.
General Vastupala decided to build a highly artistic temple in memory of Lunig on Abu Parvat. It was also to build a jinalaya where the goddess of art in marble would dance with all the ornaments and decorations. It was designed to make the devotee feel as if he were standing in the middle of a marble paradise! Work began on the construction of a Jinalaya on Mount Abu to preserve the memory of Lunig. The famous sculptor Shobhan came with his artisans to the high Mount Abu and started work in a hurry.
General Vastupala thought he had reached an old age. Life is no longer trustworthy. This work should then be done at a faster pace, instead at a much slower pace. If the work goes so slowly the work will not live itself to see the achievement. So Vastupala asked to move this work forward at a faster pace.
Anupamadevi, the wife of Vastupala's younger brother Tejpal, was known for her spirit and efficiency. He tried to tell the difference. Tried to find out the root cause of the snail's pace work.
He noticed that the sculptors could not work quickly because of the bitter cold on Mount Abu.
Reaching the mountain was difficult. It was also time to start working. All engaged in cooking. The salary was so low that it was unaffordable to eat nutritious food. Thus, after having a normal meal and starting work, evening comes. The whole body freezes in the cold. Where can the fingers of sculptors work when it comes!
Anupamadevi thought that the work of the temple should be done in such a way that no one's mind would be saddened. If the sculptors are unhappy, how can they bring value to the idol? So Anupamadevi set up a special restaurant for the sculptors. The pain of tired sculptors kept men for body massage. The sculptors of day and night work kept separate. Anupamadevi says that in which everyone is happy, only God is happy.
Arrangements were made as per the instructions of Anupamadevi and a magnificent, beautiful and artistic mansion named Lunigavasahi was prepared on Abu Giriraj. It still reminds us of Lunig's immortal memory.
Thus, humanity should be connected with Dharmakarya. If the priest of the temple is not able to eat enough, how can he have the spirit of the Lord? How can a clerk of a religious institution work day and night and still get a very small amount of money to maintain the spirit of religiosity?
The most unfortunate thing is that those who build temples with crores of wealth do not worry about the livelihood of the priest. The hungry masses living around the magnificent temple should be considered first.
