- The wise have considered the state of thoughtlessness to be excellent, but even if it does not reach that state, it is bound by mind, word and deed, so awareness and discernment are also necessary in thought.
After walking half a kilometer throughout the month of Vai Shakh, there was an unprecedented sweating. I am very thirsty but I can't find water anywhere. Tewama stands in the shade of a tree exhausted.
Apoorva wipes the sweat with a handkerchief and the window of the first floor building opens in front of her. Apurva and that person's eyes meet. Seeing his condition, the person gestured that he wanted water by hand. A person walking in the desert of Sahara, sees the festival of cool water and feels the same joy as Apurva.
The man closes the window, gesturing to come down. Even after 15 minutes, the door below does not open. Apoorva thinks that if you don't get water, what is the use of giving me false hope? Isn't it violence to play with someone's feelings? Humans are awesome too!
After a while the door opens and the man comes in and says, "I'm late, I'm sorry, but seeing your condition, I thought it was a little late to make you drink lemonade instead of water."
Apoorva thinks this is an apology, the gentleman is really this angel in human form. The cup he gave starts in his mouth but what is this? There is no sugar in it at all. Sour lemon water, if I drink it my head will crack. Why does this person call this sherbet? Run even if only plain water is given instead. The person takes a pouch of sugar out of his pocket and gives it to him and says, add as much sugar as you like. Apurva becomes confused due to his own opinion which changes from moment to moment. The psychologist Apoorva thinks that we form opinions in a hurry without listening to the whole story of the other person in small things and by misunderstanding we get away from our loved ones as well as good people. Thanked the gentleman and went home.
For what to do to avoid the fleeting ups and downs of thoughts and hasty opinions, go to Pujya Gurudev in Apurva Dharmasthanak and seek reconciliation by telling the story of his own experience.
Gurudev said that the sages have considered the state of thoughtlessness to be excellent, but even if it does not reach that state, it is bound by mind, word and body, so awareness and discernment are also necessary in thought. Gurudev gives an illustration to explain the auspicious outcome of the mind -
Shreenik Maharaja saluted the Lord and asked that a sage was meditating nearby. If he dies at this moment, at what speed will he go? The Lord answered him to go to hell! After a few moments of thought the series expresses surprise, what could be the reason for this? Then the Lord says that if he dies now, he will go to heaven. After a while, the divine sound of Devadudumbhi is heard. When the inquisitive class king Prabhu asks the reason, he says that the same sage you are curious to know about has already attained pure knowledge. The gods are welcoming him with the divine sound of Dudumbhi and a shower of flowers. Revealing, Lord Mahavira says that 'Prasannachandra Rajarshi' of Purvashram is this seeker. Handing over the state to the youngest son, Tyagi Tyagi they have been initiated. He gets the news that another king has invaded his kingdom. His mind was restless when the sage sitting in a meditative state seemed calm. As the mind becomes distracted, he begins to think in meditation that if I were a king instead of a sage, I would have defeated my enemies by surrendering to death. Thoughts of such meditation lead man to the gates of hell. But with his hand on his head, the sage thinks, I am no longer a king, I am a sage. There can be no enemy for a sage, the whole world is my friend. The auspicious thoughts of friendship take the soul to heaven. The ideology of the sage's welfare and well-being resulted in a pure ideology which led to karmanirjara, which led to pure knowledge, leading the life to salvation.
Apoorva said, O Kalyanmitra Guru Bhagwant, you have done a great favor by pointing the finger at the invisible vices in us. Guruvandan said goodbye.
