Sonarika Bhadoria: She has been waiting for two and a half years for a loan of Rs 70 lakh

TV One or the other artist in the industry has been saying for a long time that the production house is not paying their dues. The list of actors now includes actress Sonarik Bhadoria and several others. Of course, it is not that Sonarika is not waiting to get her Rs 50 lakh due. He and his co-stars have opened their mouths after waiting for their outstanding payments for almost two and a half years.

It is said that artists like Sonarika and Shahbaz Khan, Gurdeep Poonj, Tasneem Sheikh, Anand Gordia worked together in 'Dastan-e-Mohabbat Salim Anarkali'. Released in October 2013, the serial was rolled out in just three months. But since then many of its artists have not been paid their dues. The cast said they worked for the show for about six months.

Sonakshi Bhadoria, who played the lead role of 'Anarkali' in the serial, said that the production house of the show had to pay her Rs 20 lakh. But he has given me barely seven-eight lakh rupees so far. So finally now I have a legal wait to get my dues.

Shahbaz Khan, Tasneem and Gurdeep have about Rs 10 lakh left for this show. While Anand Gordian has five to six lakh rupees left. All these artists are constantly calling the show's producer Aniruddha Pathak. But his phone hits a deaf ear. Finally, he has requested the Cine and Television Artists Association (Cinta) to intervene in the matter.

"We started working long before the show started," Shahbaz said. This is our blood donation, so how do we get rid of it? We did not receive any response when we tried to contact the manufacturer. We are all going through a tough time right now.

Many of us don't even have a job. The epidemic is causing a lot of problems. When Tasneem said that I am feeling cheated. I played my role with complete sincerity. For my roll, I wore a 6 kg lehenga. It is not easy to work wearing such a heavy garment. And now we often have to call the manufacturer to ask for our money. But it also hits the deaf ear.

Gurdeep also responds similarly by saying that I have been silent on this issue for a long time. But now is the time to open your mouth. I don't even get replies to my messages. They say the show's budget was overstated. But the producer should be aware of that. How can you stop the remuneration of artists by doing this?

Anand Gordia's story is the saddest of all as it says that I am really going through a very difficult phase. So if I get my dues, I will have a big job. He further says that when my mom was in the hospital I urgently needed money for her treatment. But even then I was not given my money. My mom is no longer in this world.

Regarding the amount owed to the artists, the producer said that we had to close the show in just three months so a mountain of trouble fell on me. It was our turn to suffer heavy losses. And then the epidemic struck and I had to close my building. Now I only earn as a writer. I don’t refuse to give these artists money back. But I need time for that.
