In the 80's, a film made a history of success. The film was discussed all over the country and the government was shocked when the lovers of the film started taking the same step that the lovers of the film did not succeed. The film was not just a film but a frenzy - it was Rati Agnihotri and Kamal Hassan's 'Ek Duje Ke Liye'.
It has been 40 years since this story was told, but today this film is a spark in the hearts of the people. It was a film in which the spirit of love was portrayed in a somewhat different way and it was liked not only by the younger generation but also by the adults and the elderly. The songs of the film also set new records. Now, the same Rati Agnihotri's son Tanuj Virvani wants to remake the legendary film and he bought the rights years ago.
In this regard, Rati-putra Tanuj says, 'Ek duje ke liy .. then it was a super hit film. Her love story is evergreen and a few years ago we felt it should be recreated. So we took away his rights. The process of remaking this film is moving forward, but I am very busy with my OTT projects. So right now the plan to make a film from 'Ek Duje Ke Liye' has been put on hold, but our plan is to make a film one day. '
Saying that he is interested in remaking the film, the actor said that he was surprised when he was not in favor of remaking this cult film. He said, ‘Honestly I’m not a fan of remakes of the film. When the film is a super hit. It should be left as it is. Unless you have a great screenplay, no one should tamper with it. I remember that legendary filmmaker Basu Chatterjee made a 'hobby' film like KV Masterpiece, in which my mother played an important role and was accompanied by Mithun Chakraborty, Utpal Dutt and Ashok Kumar. The film was also a big hit. After this it was re-made, in which my mother had a cameo, of course it was a good effort, but I would rather watch the original film. '
Are you afraid of being compared to your mother and Kamal Hassan if you are in the lead role in re-make? - In answer to such a question, Tanuj said, 'Comparison is a natural thing and it happens. Earlier, when I went to audition, people called me Rati Agnihotri's son and compared me to my mother. If we make a re-make of that film, it is important that the viewers will compare it. They will try to link it with the screenplay as the content has changed drastically in the last 20 years and with it comes a change in the audience's test, 'said Tanuj Virvani.
