Winter is starting now. Little by little, the pinkish cold is freezing. Today, I am going to discuss with my fellow readers about which foods can be kept healthy by eating in such a season and what kind of diseases are likely to occur in this winter season.
Ayurveda is the science of life. The cycle of each season is described in detail in it. So that one can stay healthy by following it. In any season, food-exercise and diet-apathya are included in Ritucharya. Ritucharya shows us what we need to do in our Naiki Jiani and Rkhag Lachamaia.
Seasons are described in Ayurveda. Shishir, Vasant, Grisham, Varsha, Sharad and Hemant. In it Shishir and Hemantra are called winter seasons. In which, from the beginning of November to the beginning of January, Hemantriya and from the middle of January to the middle of March are described as Sishir Ritu in Ayurveda.
Each season is described in detail in Chapter-3 of Ashtangaheart Sugasthan.
During the cold season, Jathragni is bright. In this season the body pores and fur shrink due to cold. So body heat cannot go out. So the heat inside the body stays inside. Because of this, the Jatragni is brighter in this season. Now, if this radiant stomach does not get a proper diet, it starts digesting the seven dhatu juices of the body, blood, flesh, fat, bone, marrow and Venus. So Ayurveda states to take healthy, nutritious and nutritious food during this season.
Now what kind of diet is guru diet? It is natural that such a question arises in the minds of readers. A diet that is difficult to digest is called a guru diet. Ayurveda states to eat more food with sweet-sour, sour-sour, and salty-salty juices during this season.
In this season it is imperative to eat sesame, dates, carrot halwa, milk halwa, kachariya, horn chiki, sesame chiki etc. Kheer, besan laddu, diafrud cheeky uddani dal, mung dal halwa etc. should be taken in this season.
It is also imperative to take curd in this season. Because curd semen is hot. Curd can be mixed with honey or honey. But keep in mind that milk and curd should never be taken in excess.
Taking wheat bread in cold season is bulp. And it is also heavy to digest. Apart from this, bajri can also be taken hot. Maize bread is also the best in terms of health. Apart from this Ayurveda says that old grain is best, but new rice should be taken in this season. Urad dal is also healthy.
Among the vegetables, dudhi, kaddu, parval, palakh, methi etc. are the best. Boiling green leafy vegetables in water, squeezing the leaves in water and roasting the leaves in sesame oil or cow ghee is very beneficial.
Fruits such as apple, chiku, grapes, papaya etc. are beneficial in this season. But the best fruit of this season is amla. Amla has shown chemistry in Ayurveda. It is also age-defying.
Apart from this, dry fruits like almonds, walnuts, pistachios etc. can be taken. 2 spoons of Chyawanprash, 5-7 pieces of soaked almonds and 2 spoons of black sesame seeds should be included in breakfast every morning.
Black sesame is the best. A healthy porridge can be made at home by crushing black sesame seeds and adding jaggery powder and dried fruits.
Homemade food is healthier than imported food. So insist on eating home made food.
In this season, symptoms like cough, cold, phlegm, fever are also frequent. Among the kitchen herbs, taking 1/2 teaspoon of Triktu Churna in Tulsi and Ginger juice and adding honey gives relief from cold and cough. Apart from this, Behadachurna, Vasa Dhanvati, Sitopaladi Churna, Kantakari Avalek etc. can also be taken as per the advice of the physician. Vasa-Ardusi is Kasadhan and is shown to be the best medicine for cold-cough. Apart from this, to keep the skin smooth when the skin becomes rough or cracked during cold days,
1) Apply sesame oil on the body.
2) When the skin is very rough, it can be applied by mixing gram flour, turmeric and cream. It makes the skin very shiny.
3) In addition to this, using cold cream, almond oil, olive oil, or olive oil can remove the dryness of the skin.
4) After massaging the body with mustard-almond, coprael and olive oil, stand in the light sun for a while and take a bath with moderately warm water. Due to which the fatigue of the body will be reduced and the enthusiasm will be communicated. And our skin will also be healthy and refreshed. Which puts four moons in Khubsurati.
Winter hair care: Due to the cold winters, proper hair care becomes necessary. Apply hair oil three times a week. In winter, the problem of rickets is usually more common. If there is a defect, remove it. And even if there is no dandruff, regular hair oiling and massage should be done to protect the hair.
A pack of amla and vikkiloh along with honey-banana or kuvarpatha pulp applied on the scalp once every week maintains the hair's natural shine and hair moisturizer.
Thus, if the pathya-pathya is followed in winter as per Ritucharya, then winter becomes a very healthy season of the entire year.
