This fraudster named Vikas met and worked with the SIM card vendors. He prepared a text message that he sent to people. This message says that your credit card has accumulated many points. You can redeem these points and get cashback. A link was also provided with this message. Take advantage of this offer if redemption points are completed within short time. A form is sent along with this message and link.
According to police, when people click on the link, a website called kotekcardredeem.com is opened against them. People name their own on this website. Other details are taken as the email or password is added and then the details are reached to the fraudster. Using it and they do the transaction and they also get the OTP for the card on the email id.
