The Dwarkadhish Temple is famous as Krishna Lord's dwelling place on earth. Here lies the quadrilateral form of Lord Krishna on the silver throne. The conch, mattress, chakra and lotus are found in their hands. There are also traces of their feet. It is believed that Sri Krishna along with his Yadav clan fled from Mathura and came here 5000 years ago and founded Dwarka. Dwarka Nagar is one of the four Dhammas in the country founded by Adi Shankaracharya. This place is also one of the sacred Saptapuri. Dwarkadhish temple is built today where Lord Krishna's palace was Hari planet.
The importance of the temple
The beauty of the Dwarka temple surrounded by the sea is wonderful. The waves of the sea as they approach the temple seem to be waving at the feet of the Lord. This temple has also been specially constructed. Here is the salvation gate in the north and heaven gate in the south. The iridescent flag that hangs on the top of the temple places four moons in the magnificence of the temple.
Near the main temple stands the statue of Trikaramai Lord and King Bali. The temple has a black statue called Padunmji in the south along with a beautiful statue of Amba in the temple. There is also a statue of Baldevji and Aniruddha. Every idol of God in the temple has wonderful beauty.
Another tourist destination
There is a panchayathartha where there is a tradition of bathing with wells. In addition to the Dwarka, there are several holy sites like Nageshwar Shiva Temple, Bat Dwarka, Rukmini Temple, Gomti Ghat, Ranchodji Temple, Gyan Kund, Damodar Kund, Suryanarayana Temple.
