TechJoint company Google has removed two popular apps from its Play Store. Google says that these apps found malicious code was acting like adware. Google has advised all users to uninstall both apps from their phones.
Both these apps are very popular in the Google Play Store. More than 1.5 million people have downloaded both apps in their devices. Google says both of these apps were making money through pop-up ads.
On the other hand, running this ad background also affected the performance of the device. In addition, the phone's battery also went down quickly. Mobile security firm Vandera says both these apps had redundant ad-milliseconds codes as well as many other milliseconds codes.
Both of these apps also wanted audio permissions for other apps. However, this is not the first time that Google has deleted an app from its platform due to a malicious code. Google recently removed the popular app CamScanner from its own platform. However, CamScanner immediately removed the bug in its app and republished it on the Google Play Store.
Google has also recently tightened developer rules. Under the new rules, it will take at least three days for new Android apps to be accepted. Android Developers Direct cannot publish the Android App to the Play Store.
