Gandhari's brother and Duryodhana's uncle, Shakuni is a famous character of the Mahabharata. The character of the Mahabharata was at the forefront of intelligence.

If he had kept his mind on positive thoughts, his name might have been written in golden letters on the pages of history, but he always used his intelligence to ruin it. That is why he became the greatest villain of the Mahabharata. It is said that intelligence is more dangerous than a weapon. In the Mahabharata there were also Krishna, Shakuni, Bhishma, Vidur, Drona, etc. who used their intellect in good works.

From the Mahabharata in the primary sense, it seems that Shakuni loved such a nephew. He always kept thinking about his good. But Shakuni proved to be not only the Pandava but also the biggest enemy of the Kauravas. It began when Ganga's son Bhishma reached Gandhar to seek Shakuni's sister Gandhari's hand for Dhritarashtra.

Bhishma said this to King Subal of Gandhara and Shakuni got angry as he listened. His words were, "Why are you asking for my sister's hand for a blind person, why didn't you ask for my sister's hand for Pandu?"

But Gandhari and his father accepted the proposal. On the same day Shakuni vowed to end Hastinapur. Shakuni vowed on that day that it would be the cause of the destruction of the entire Kuruvan dynasty. That is why he left Gandhar and started living in Hastinapur and provoked the Kauravas to become Pandavas, and he prepared the background for the war and he succeeded in doing so.
