Sanjida Sheikh completed a decade on the small screen

'I'm a content person. If I am told something like this, I work very hard and do well. It has to be kept in mind that I have played every kind of role. '

Artists are not just artists, but TV artists and film artists have been discriminated against for the past several years. Film artists are open to the film industry in large distances. Following this discrimination, there is a gap in matters ranging from remuneration to payroll. Naturally, it is natural for self-respecting artists to suffer because of this. Yet this distance is not yet erased.

Digital media has come up with so little, it has to be seen what level its artists are coming in now. However, this medium of TV artists called OTT platforms has been a blessing. Sanjid Sheikh, who has worked in multiple serials for more than a decade as a TV artist, has played in a few small and large roles. It has also found work on the OTT platform. So happy. Well, let's have some talk with Sanjida ...

After working in Vikram Bhatt's 'Ghairayaan', Sanjid Sheikh has now got a job in the original film on Netflix.

Tell me something about Netflix's original film? Sanjida says, “The film is based on the murder of a newborn girl, which is titled. 'Kali Khoo'. I play the role of the mother of an eight-year-old child, a character I have not yet played in my career, which is directed by Terry Sea and with whom Satyadeep Mishra works. After working on TV for more than a decade, I got this job, which is an opportunity.

..... So have you ever played the role of mother on TV? Sanjida says, I played the mother of a five-year-old child in the film 'Ishq ka rang white'. When people initially offered me the role of mother or other adult, I looked at them with skeptical eyes.

After this I became more mature and began to accept such offers naturally. At the beginning of my career, I was afraid that I wouldn't become a typecast, would I? Now the situation has changed. I have become more confident and I feel that I can do all kinds of roles offered to me.

Do you think these OTT platforms are the focus of a new attraction for TV artists? Sanjida says, “I am delighted that these new platforms provide more opportunities for artists to enhance their acting ability and to feel creatively satisfied.

In addition, they take TV artists seriously. This kind of difference is seen in film producers or even production houses. An artist is given a job only when they think they can give him fair justice! This is going to be a functional change.

Do you think this will erase the line of discrimination between TV and film artists? Sanjida says, “There was a phase when TV actors were not taken seriously for films, but now this has changed.

Previously, I remember going to auditions for a movie and passing all rounds easily, but at the last moment, he (the film maker) dropped him and heard the words, "No, he is watching on TV every day." This has happened many times. However, now that the offer of the film has come out of Netflix, there was no danger of auditions for it. I am proud of being selected.

Do you notice any bias in this? Sanjida says, "I really don't like sitting at home without work. I'm gonna do something to someone else if not. In doing so, I have not been affected in any case. I'm a content person. If I am told something like this, I work very hard and do well.

Keep in mind that I have been in this industry for a long time and have played almost every kind of role. I like it if I experiment with different content, and that is what blows my mind.

Thus, Sanjid Sheikh concludes the talk.
