In the US, the Seniors' program was held recently at the Indian Cultural Center Lotus Hall in Tampa Bay Area, Florida, on the 5th of November, in which seniors in and around Tampa attended.
It is said that there is a hidden talent within each person. The program 'Talentes of Tampa Bay' was organized with the intention that seniors could bring out the hidden talent within themselves and also be known, loved and appreciated by others.
Seniors gave memorable performances, including bhajans, old-fashioned film songs, group dances, instrumental instruments, decent jokes, poetry, etc. which were attended by all the attendees.
A group of seniors performed a wonderful dance on a song in Kala Chashma on which all the zooms were raised. At seven o'clock the first part was completed. Then in November, the seniors birthday party was cut and celebrated. Dinner was served around seven and a half. Today's dinner was sponsored by Mukesh Patel, Chintan Patel, Jigar Jadhav, Bhavik Modi, recently elected officials of the Gujarati Society of Tampa Bay.
After dinner the performances started again. One of the seniors, in harmony with the harmonium, presented the hymn 'Come on that color to me' with a melodious tone. For a while the atmosphere was devotional.
All performances were completed around 9:30 pm, followed by the song of the national anthem 'Jana Gan Mana' which was followed by the closing of the program.
The success of the program was attributed to Jitubhai Vora, Parul Vora, Kunjalta Patel, Bharti Mehta, Nalini Patel, Prafulla Patel, Rekha Desai, Aresha Patel, Niranjan Patel, Upendra Upadhyay (Mama), Manoj Pandya.
