Fastag recharge is now available in Google Pay as well

Ahmedabad. 05 February 2020 Wednesday

If you own a car and frequently have to travel on the highway, by now you have gotten fast for your car. We don't have to wait to pay the toll on Tolanaka by sticking a fastag on the windshield of any Four Wheeler.

Just to slow the vehicle, the scanner at Toll Plaza scans our fastag and the toll amount is automatically paid out of our account linked to Fastag.

Various banks, digital payment services and other companies have started offering Fastag after the government made Fastag mandatory.

Usually after getting a fast wallet from a mobile wallet or our bank, we have to add the amount to the fastag account. This account is separate from our bank account and with different payment methods we can add funds to Fastag account. In a way, this is a service similar to the pre-paid payment of mobile.

We can add money to our Fastag account using the 'My Fastag' app from the provider's site / app or Indian Highways Company Limited from whom we received the fastag. Now Google Pay has been added to it. It also has the facility to recharge the Fastag account from the Unified Payment Interface (UPI).

In Google Pay App, you can select the bank you have received the fastag from by going to 'Bill Payments' and after adding the registration number of our vehicle we can add the amount from the bank account connected to Google Pay in our Fastag account. Of course, currently, limited bank fastag accounts can be viewed.
