Whenever we are working on a file in Word and for some reason the file is corrupted we remember the importance of backing it up. Word has the facility of automatic backup of a file, but we may forget to take advantage of it or think we don't need it too much.
If we have already set up AutoBackup in Word settings then under such circumstances we can get a backup file. In this type of backup file, the previous data will be saved after we have last saved the file.
To take advantage of this feature, go to 'Word Options' by clicking on the Microsoft Office button or going to File, depending on your version of Word. Now, in the 'Advanced' tab, in the Save section, tick the box of 'Always create backup copy' and click OK. The backup copy is saved in the folder in which you will save the file and the file name is Backup of document name.wbk.
In this way, making it an automatic backup copy of every file in the Word will prove to be a blessing in case of unexpected problems!
