Leicester Crown Court has sentenced a total of one hundred years to 22 Indians, including Gujarati, on charges of supplying 'A' class drugs to four countries. These people lived a very luxurious life making millions of pounds from the drug business.
The gang also included 34-year-old Sukhpal Dhariwal, who was sentenced to eight months for admitting he had freed the gang from using his place for the black drug business. In addition, he was also sentenced to 120 hours of unpaid work in 12 months.
Pradeep Dehle, 30, was also sentenced to three years for confessing to the crime of supplying Class A and Class B drugs. Similarly, Kasim Sarang, who confessed to his crime, was also sentenced to five years and four months. Deepak Modhwadia, 37, a Gujarati native who confessed to the crime of supplying Class A and B, was sentenced to six years and nine months.
Kevin Duncuff, of Liverpool, an important member of the gang, was sentenced to 16 years. Police said he seized a number of luxury items, including cocaine, cannabis, cannabis plants, cash money and specially made watches from the gang.
Detective Inspector Lee Hunt said, "The gang will now face a total sentence of more than one hundred years. The sentence awarded to him and the actions taken against him shows how serious we and our courts are for such crimes."
The court also said that "the perpetrators are members of an organized gang who work in the black business of drug trafficking not only in Leicestershire but also in Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Liverpool". During the raids, we issued 50 warrants in these four countries and cities. This operation was very important to us.
However, our operations are not going to stop here. We know that somebody will come to this vacant place and they will do this black business. That is why we are constantly trying to catch such people and shut down the black business. We will also continue to work to stop this drug abuse, "Hunt said.
