Britain had a Labor Party government. Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain was fighting on two fronts. He had cancer so there was a fight going on. Hitler, on the other hand, started World War II nine months ago and conquered many European countries. Now it was Britain's turn. That was another fight for Chamberlain. In that fight they were weakening. Leader of the Opposition Clement Attlee addressed Parliament and said such a leader could not save the country.

The Labor Party had no choice but to change the Prime Minister, as the government was run by a coalition. The dignitaries, seated at a round table, decided that Edward Wood, the Duke of Halifax (who was the foreign minister), could be made PM. Everyone agreed on the name, except Halifax. "It's not time for me to take the lead," said Halifax, who has a large bald spot. Therefore, one should choose someone who is an expert in diplomacy. No one agreed with the name that was spoken after that. That name was Churchill.

Churchill, who had a gigantic body of five ounces, was then the Minister of the Navy. He usually did three things, blabbered on, smoked a cigar in his mouth when it wasn't blabbering, and drank alcohol when he didn't. It was named after Churchill, who had predicted that Hitler would not sit idly by before World War II broke out.

Elizabeth Leighton, the new secretary he met, was writing various government correspondences. Churchill, who is fond of literature, used to quarrel with the secretary over word choice while typing letters. Also do a lot of check-chalk in written speech or paper.

It was a time when Hitler was rapidly conquering different countries. So Churchill had to say that Hitler had won Holland and Belgium too !? George V was the British King at the time. George also did not believe in Churchill. But in the end no one was ready, those who were ready were not going to run as prime minister. That is why 8-year-old Churchill became the Prime Minister of Britain.

As he assumed power, Churchill formed a five-member war, which included Halifax and Chamberlain in the cabinet. Humorous Churchill was told by his colleagues not to worry, you have to meet the king once a week. Churchill replied that it was a matter of going to the dentist once a week!

Churchill has never held a special position in the past. That is why he did not have a special reputation in Parliament. That's why the opposition also liked it! There was not a good relationship between Halifax and Churchill. That is why Churchill called Halifax 'Halifax'. Attlee was known as the wolf. Cabinet and Labor party colleagues believed that Churchill would keep everyone together and respect everyone.

At the time, everyone wanted to see Hitler move forward, but not to compromise. Halifax, in particular, was so engrossed in the peace talks that it created unrest. In his first speech in Parliament, Churchill made it clear that war was our policy and victory was our goal.

So there was confusion for Halifax, which was moving around with the peace talks file. Halifax and Neville, being the main leaders of the party, decided that we should remove Churchill. If Neville resigns, there will be a crisis in the government, in which case Churchill will step down and Halifax will become prime minister.

Churchill learned of the various stages of the war, only to cross the English Channel and reach Britain after France defeated Germany. France had no plans to retaliate. Churchill also told the country in a radio message that we (all friendly countries) were winning, as if in fact there was nothing.

It was reported that British troops were trapped on the shores of Dunkirk and Calais in France. There were four thousand soldiers in Kailai, and three lakh in Dunkirk. So Churchill decided that Kelly's army would fight the Germans. While the Germans were busy, the soldiers trapped on the shores of Dunkirk were rescued. The cabinet was of the opinion that Kelly's army would fight the Germans, so his death was certain. Churchill was of the opinion that four thousand would die, but three lakhs would survive.

Is there a way?

There was a road, which sat with Halifax, of peace. Churchill did not approve of that, as he believed that Hitler would betray him after the peace talks. Even greater Churchill's belief was that Britain, which had enslaved half the world, would be doomed if it negotiated peace with the Germans.

Britain, on the other hand, did not have enough ships to rescue troops from Dunkirk. Churchill spoke to his friend, US Prime Minister Roosevelt, about shipping help. Roosevelt said it could help some, but the rest is tied up. Churchill instructed to prepare a fleet of civilian boats.

There were frequent meetings, military officials, cabinet ministers debating and finally no decision could be reached. Now even Italy was ready to mediate for peace talks. Churchill was confused. Meanwhile, one day King George met Churchill and asked, "Why don't you take the people's vote?"

Churchill arrived on a London Underground train, met with the general public and learned the vote. Then he came back to Parliament and delivered a passionate speech, which had a clear tone that we have no choice but to fight. After the speech, most of the protesters in Parliament, most of them in the party, stood by Churchill. Now there was no doubt that R Par was going to fight.

The film presents the chronology of a few days from May 15 to May 7, but the whole chronology is interesting. Churchill wished that Britain would not bow down. That wish came true. After five years of war, Britain won. But the next question was, what did you win? That answer is scattered throughout the pages of history.

Churchill is played by the talented actor Gary Aldeman, who was only 6 years old at the time of the role. But the make-up was done in such a way that Gary becomes difficult to identify. So the film was nominated for a total of six Oscars, two of which were for make-up and the other for Best Actor.

The film is 'Darkest Hour', while in 2011 there was a science fiction film called 'The Darkest Hour'. So the name is likely to be confused.
