Nature's Silver Festival 'Sharadpurnima'


In the intoxication of this hundred Sud Poonam, the moon seems to be raining rays of nectar. That is why it is called 'Sudhanshu' or 'Sudhakar'! Good evening! And as the moon of Sharadpurnima rises high in Narbhe, its beauty blossoms. As if the rays of silver moonlight descended from the sky to dance on the earth!

The moon-sun in the universe is a beam of divine light, in which the rhythm-rhythm of the moon-stars is constantly orbiting. If we listen carefully to this melodious music of nature in the silent peace of 'Sharadpurnima', then we get an unprecedented realization of 'Brahmanad' in it, then in Kaumudi i.e. full moon full of moon's amirs, full Brahman is seen.

Rudi-Radhiyali of Sharad-Purnima has sixteen arts in the moon at night. It illuminates many continents by shining on the land of Shilichand. The sixteen arts of the moon i.e. the sixteen types of ray powers such as Chandrika, Jyotsna, Kanti, Shri Amrita etc. Such moon-ray powers provide coolness, consciousness and health to human beings. By bathing in such silver, nature is enlivened, as if a Kaumudi festival has been formed, on the midnight of such Asoponam, a juicy poem of nature adorned with beauty and art is composed. Pankaj has flourished in the lakes. Beauty- The kingdom of prosperity spreads everywhere. The touch of the lunar moon on the human heart vibrates its entire consciousness and the silver-festival of white-moon is celebrated.

According to a well-known belief, the consumption of the direct rays of the moon of Sharadpoonam cures many ailments of the body. Its effect enhances the medicinal properties of trees and plants. So even today Vaidyarajas allow the rays of full moon to fall on it to make their special herbs more effective. Therefore, it is believed that with the sprinkling of Chandni, those herbs become equal to Sanjeev for the human body. That is why the moon is called the lord of herbs.

Lord Shiva also understood the importance of the influence of the light of the moon, that is why he placed the moon in his head. And they worshiped with the nicknames 'Chandramoulishwar' and 'Somnath'. The milk powder placed in Poonam's shilichandni till midnight is also becoming curative.

Srinathji's Muktotsav is celebrated in the Vaishnava pilgrimages of Thakorji of Sharadpoonam. So on this full moon night, it is believed that the water in the oysters in the ocean turns into pearls due to the radiance of the moon rays of Poonam. Hence this Purnima is also known as 'Manekthari'. From this a movie was made, 'Bundjo became a pearl.'

Today, Thakorji's mansions have milk offerings. On this Poonam day, women observe Kojagari fast. On this day they fast and worship Lakshmi by darshan in the moon at night. They also wake up that night.

On the auspicious night of Sharadpurnima, Lord Krishna left the flute tune on the banks of the Yamuna in Vrindavan and formed a rasa. Hearing this, the gopis left all their work and ran away. To the gopis of Vraja, the mind of Lord Krishna is the star of their eyes. They are eager to form a rach with him.

Even today in our culture, we are blessed with 'Shatan Jiv Sharad' i.e. our children see a hundred autumns.

Then we can enjoy the blossoming moonlight of Sharad Poonam. When Poonam's blissful form is in front of us and us in her silent peace in the middle of the night. In such a romantic atmosphere, the poet's heart sings,

Chanda re chanda re .. come to earth,

Let's sit together and make love. ' So the spiritual being says, 'Death is like nectar.' O God of the moon, lead us from death to nectar. '
