America's Strongest Volt: Shine Mountain

The U.S. Army's Missile Warning Center is the safest place in the Cheyenne Mountain complex. This Bucker-like underground vault in Colorado has many military divisions and research centers. The world's strongest and safest volt is protected against 20 megaton blasts. It is located in a five acre area at a depth of 210 meters in the foothills below the mountain. Protected against explosions and earthquakes. A huge steel spring is fitted at the base of the building.

There are a total of 1000 springs in 12 buildings. Its 5 tonne doors are not only protected against blast but also against blast waves, chemical, radiological or biological radiation. The water needed to keep the machinery in the vault cool is taken from a nearby pond. The Volt has huge tanks of diesel, huge batteries and power generators. This vault contains important discoveries for the military. It has high-ranking officials and scientists.

Pure air is pumped to them from outside. It has special filters to remove chemical, nuclear and biological waste. The cleanest air in the world these scientists get to breathe. The complex is currently closed. But maintained in a way that could be turned on at any time.
