Meanwhile, according to Coffee Board sources, total coffee exports from the country have increased by about 12-13 per cent so far in the current calendar year and now such a percentage of export growth is likely to be higher in the coming months. Exports of instant coffee, in particular, have grown at a rate of 12 to 15 per cent so far. Such instant coffee is especially used in overseas countries for home consumption, market experts said. With the reopening of cafes and restaurants in the world market, the export of premium coffee from the country is also expected to increase, sources said. Meanwhile, the total export of coffee from the country so far this year has increased to about 1 lakh 4 to 30 thousand tonnes as against about 1 lakh 2 to 30 thousand tonnes in the same period last year. However, shipments of instant coffee have increased to about 4,000 tonnes during the period, up from slightly more than 2,000 tonnes last year.
