The great Jainacharya Shri Gyan Vimalsuri, whose self-world was illuminated in the light of knowledge, was born in V.S. He was born in Bhinnamal in 19 His name was Nathumal. His father's name was Vasav Seth and mother's name was Kankavati.

At the age of eight, Nathumal Tapagachcho came in contact with Pandit Dhirvimalgani, a disciple of Pandit Vinay Vimalgani. He was baptized. He was named Muni Nayavimal.

No one knows him by the name of Nayavimal today. But if we say 'Gyan Vimal', the whole Jain Sangh is known. There is also a thrilling event behind the name Gyan Vimal.

At that time, Acharya Shri Vijayprabhasuriji of Tapagachchh was expected to travel to Shatrunjya Tirth. Shri Adinath started praising in front of the Lord. At that time Muni Nayavimal waited there. Nayavimalji's fame as a poet spread. Shri Vijayprabhasuriji welcomed him by saying 'Aavo Gyan Vimalsuri'. Everyone wondered why the principal was saying this. Then Shri Vijayprabhusuriji said that Munishri is a treasure of knowledge and now when I am going to give him the title of Acharya, I am going to have this name, so I have said this!

Nayavimal says: 'Like your grace.'

Vijayprabhasuriji asked Nayavimalji to speak Chaityavandan. And all shone. Because the custom is that the elder speaks Chaityavandan. Vijayprabhasuri says: 'Brothers, Nayavimalji's poetic power is so excellent that I asked him to speak Chaityavandan. Because I have not got the power of poetry like him. '

Nayavimalji, as if fulfilling the promise of Acharya Shri, composed new poems and challenged Chaityavandan in 4 stories!

Shri Gyan Vimalsuri Jin was a great poet painted in the colors of devotion. He is the foremost of all the poets of his time. This great poet, who has the best faith that self-welfare can be achieved only through jinn devotion, guides the Sangh and the society by creating a large number of hymns, decorations, hymns, rasas, etc. Shri Gyan Vimalsuri is a sadhu who constantly worries about the soul. They are constantly striving to increase self-esteem by getting the best from wherever they can be found. It is said that he had a special value for Mahayogi Ananddhanji. Realizing that there is a wonderful and incomprehensible element hidden in the hymns of Anand Dhanji, Shri Gyan Vimalsuri meditated for six months at Suryamandan Pashwanath Derasar in Surat to attain it.

They have since composed a stanza on Anand Dhanji's hymns. The period of this creation is also up to forty years after the demise of Anand Dhanji.

The hymns and decorations and hymns composed by Shri Gyan Vimalsuriji are still sung by Jain Sangh Bhav.

Shri Gyan Vimalsuri is a rare genius. He has done special worship of knowledge and meditation. V.S. He passed away at the age of 7 in Khambhat on Thursday the 6th of Aso Wadi.
