How wise is it to have cereals like cornflakes for breakfast?

The era is for breakfast cereals. India's youth prefer cereals like corn flakes, wheat flakes and muesli for breakfast. Breakfast cereals with a bowl and a cup of low fat milk are the best healthy food in the morning. Young people have many reasons to choose serials. First of all, these serials are processed and packaged. They are cooked and packaged, they do not need to be cooked. Second, manufacturers claim that eating these cereals causes weight loss. Is that really the case? Are Cereals Healthy Food for Breakfast?

Answering these questions, a well-known nutritionist says, "The first thing to keep in mind is that breakfast cereals are made from refined wheat and are also processed. When processing cereals, sugar, chocolate, molt and synthetic flavors are added to it. If you look at the packaging of cereals, you will find that most breakfast cereals mention sugar as the second or third ingredient.

Research says that refined white sugar alone can lead to chronic diseases such as diabetes type two, heart disease and cancer. So by taking cereals for breakfast, we increase the level of sugar and insulin in the blood. Many popular corn flake brands found in India use Fuktos corn syrup, honey, malt and sugar. These are all different types of sugar, which have a very high glycemic index. Puru in this pole, some people put extra sugar and honey in a bowl of corn flakes to add more flavor.

Many people prefer cereals as a healthier alternative to traditional fried snacks. They also give cereals to the children for breakfast. There are claims like 'Weight Loss Friendly', 'Low Fat' and 'Low Calorie' on the packaging of cereals, which is not true. This is because the main ingredients for making these cereals include sugar or honey or high fructose corn syrup. Manufacturers often try to avoid discussing the negative aspects by highlighting the positive aspects of the food product. Khatl's big flaw is that even health conscious people do not bother to read the list of finely written material on the packaging of cereals.

If one insists on having cereals for breakfast, one should look at the contents written on the packaging. Choose cereals that are high in fiber and no more than 3 grams per serving of aided sugar. One thing to always remember is that processed food can never replace whole foods if you want to get the best nutrition from breakfast.

So it is wiser to choose whole grains like oatmeal as a healthy breakfast. Almonds and walnuts can be used as toppings to increase the nutritional value of oatmeal. Greek yogurt, cheese, fruits and green vegetables are also good options for breakfast.
