- Industrial Guidance-Dhiru Parekh

Galactomanian polysaccharide (LBG) and guar gum and four other gum are being produced commercially. These include Terragum, Fenugreek, Cassia-Tora gum, Sasbania bispinosa gum types.

Currently LBG, Guar, Terra and Fenugreek gum have been recognized as audible gum. Cassia-Tora gum is also approved as edible. But it is minor toxic.

The gelatomanan plant occurs all over the world. The Terra Gum Legumetra Dera (Casalpina Spinosg) grows in excessive Peru. This gum is used commercially for leather tanning.

Terra gum has been recognized as a food additive by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) UNO. The Terragum Daily Acceptable Intake (ADi) limit is about 12.5 mg / kg of body weight. Terra gum contains a large amount of legume glycoman. Because of this, the gel content in terra gum is about 50%. This is because of the sugar concentration. Terra gum contains 3% Hull, 20% Germs, and 5% Endoserpum. Which is based on its physical property.

Terra Gum Manufacturing Process:

Terra gum is widely used for commercial use. Because it works very well for pyrogelol leather tanning. Terragum is used in the food industry in dessert gels, sea food, meat, ice cream and yogurt. It helps in improving water binding and tamarind fixation. This gum is a water soluble polymer and offers LBG gum type application. The current production of terra gum is estimated at about 1000 tons annually.

Fenugreek gum: Fenugreek is not for the Greek seed endoserpam galactomann industries but is used for spices and fragrances (oils). Galotoman is isolated from these products and is in high demand.

The test (bitter) of fenugreek seeds is bitter. And its aromatic order is considered very excellent for health. The use of these products has proven to be very excellent for healthcare as per Ayurvedic and Unani system.

Fenu Greek seeds have medicinal properties. This is because the soluble dietary fiber present in it is galactoman. These products can also be taken as dietary food.
