- Mantrashakti revived those two dead snakes. Impressed by this, Sarvanand requested him to make him a guru and make himself a scholar
Tantra is just one branch of yoga. Tantra literature is extremely vast. Many sages like Durvasa, Agastya, Vishwamitra, Parashuram, Brihaspati, Vashishta, Nandikeshwar, Dattatreya, Maharshi Lomesh etc. of ancient times composed texts shedding light on the mysteries of Devadhideva Shiva Pranit Tantra. Adi Shankaracharya's Guru Gaudpadacharya gave the understanding of Tantra in the form of Subhagodaya Stuti and Shri Vidyaratna Sutra.
Tantracharya Sarvanandnath is in the first row among the Tantrayogis. He was an extraordinary Siddha Yogi and Mahatma. He was born in Mehar, a small town in Tripura district, now in Bangladesh. He had realized ten Mahavidyas at a time. His biography is found in 'Sarvananda Tarangini' written by his first wife Vallabhanaputra.
Sivananda, the son of his second wife, also wrote a book about his father called 'Sarvollas Tantra'. He also wrote books like Tripurarchan Deepika, Navarnava Puja Paddati etc. which are invaluable treasures of Tantra literature. Many landmark books on Indian philosophy, Tantra and Yoga have been published by British Orientalist Sir George Woodroffe in his book 'Shakti and Shakta' by Arthur Avalon.
Vaneshwar Prakand, the first son of Shambhunath Bhattacharya, was a Pandit. He was a Sabha-Pandit of Jatadhar, a descendant of Dasvansh. Like Sarvananda Mahakavi Kalidas, the second son of Shambhunath Bhattacharya, he was very stupid, foolish and ignorant in the early stages of his life. One day Sarvanand had to go to Jatadhar's meeting to give a message to his elder brother Vaneshwar. It was January 17th. That day was the date of Friday and Amas.
Jatadhar asked to test Sarvanand, 'What is the date today?' So he said ignorantly - 'Today is Poonam.' Everyone laughed out loud. Because that day was Amas. His son Shivnath, who had gone with him, felt very bad when the king and his members insulted and mocked him.
When he came home and said this, his elder brother Vaneshwar and wife Vallabha also became very angry and expressed regret. Extremely distressed by this, Sarvanand was leaving his house and going to the forest without telling anyone. While he was going to commit suicide by jumping into the Dakatiya river, a divine voice came - 'Don't stand still, you still have to live. To become a scholar by studying, to avenge your insults. You get involved in sadhana. In a short time you will become a great intelligent, brilliant, great scholar. '
Sarvanand accepted it. Then he came across a snake that was going to take a tarpaulin from a tree. At that time a Jatadhari Mahatma appeared before him. He enchanted the two dead snakes. Impressed by this, Sarvanand requested him to make him a guru and make himself a scholar. The Guru said - 'You cannot become a great scholar by general study. This will take a long time. I give you a mantra. Do the sadhana by chanting the Beej Mantra faithfully. In the last watch of the night, go to the crematorium and perform the sadhana of the great Shivling of Matangesh established by the Mahamuni. '
Sarvananda, his servant Purnananda, who had come to find him, gave up his life, so he mounted his corpse and started chanting sadhana. Pleased with this, Aradhya Devi appeared, gave darshan and said - 'Uttishtha Vatsa, Mukto. Si Yoganidra Parityajya. Pashya me param yathepsit var vrunu. - Hey Vats! Stand up Now you are free. Abandon Yoganidra, take life again and see me. I will bless you.
Ask for any blessing 'The goddess touched Purnananda's head and he came alive. He said to his mother - 'I don't want anything but fulfill the promise that this Sarvananda Sadhana does. Hurry up his ignorance and make him great. ' When the Goddess Mother touched Sarvananda's head, ten Mahavidyas appeared in an instant. The knowledge of the four Vedas, Puranas, Shastras and Brahman was revealed in him. With it the moon rose in the sky and the earth was covered with its white light. Those who were awake in the whole district spoke in amazement - 'Ouch! Today is Amas.
It was pitch dark till midnight and now where did Poonam's moon rise from? Then people realized that Sarvanand had said - 'Today is Poonam'. Param Shakti has performed this miracle to fulfill his promise! King Jatadhar came to Sarvananda's house the next day and apologized to him. From the next day onwards, everyone saw that Sarvananda had become supremely wise. ! '
Then the fame of Sarvananda spread throughout the state. Many scholars came to do Shastrartha with Sarvananda but always lost and returned. After Diwali, at the time of Mahanisha, when Sarvananda sat on his seat to worship the Goddess, the Goddess appeared to him in ten forms. The goddess then said to him - Today I will show you the scenes of your pre-birth. I will show you when and where you were born and what you did then. A few moments later, he was practicing in Vindhyachal, Badrinath, Indus Shail, Gangasagar, Varanasi and Kamakhya.
One of them was born in Jagannath Puri. There was no Jagannath temple during those days. At night he received a divine command - Tomorrow you should go to the beach and remove the sand from the place where you find the white hair of the horse. After digging for a while, you will see the peak of a monastery. That monastery belongs to Neel Madhav. If he did that, Neelmadhav was found there. Now it is revered as the idol of Lord Jagannath.
After that, on many occasions, Goddess Mata appeared directly or indirectly, carrying her yogakshema. With the supreme achievement of Tantra Yoga, he became famous as Tantracharya. With his yoga achievements he made a broken bone patient better by just touching him. After fulfilling the wishes of many, Sarvananda suddenly disappeared one day. No specific information was found about him later. Sir John Woodroff says in his famous scripture 'Shakti and Shakta' - 'Sarvananda is still alive today because he has been practicing yoga. I met a Siddhapurus with a correspondent. He told my correspondent that I had met Swami Sarvananda in Champakaranya. I also had a lot of conversations with him about the system! '
