The pioneer of genetic science: Gregor Mendel

- Scientists of the world

The anatomy and characteristics of humans, animals and plants are inherited. Each organism has its own hierarchy. The study of this field is called genetics. The foundation of this science was laid by Gregor Mendel. This discovery was followed by the discovery of genes and DNA. This research made it possible to treat many diseases and started a separate branch of genetic science.

Mendel was born in Born on July 20, 20 in Austria. As a child, he cared for the farm and the garden. He began his career at Olomouc University, pursuing higher education in philosophy and physics. The department of natural history of the university was conducting research on the hierarchy of plants.

Mendel studied there and became a pastor at the same time. After becoming a pastor, he was named Gregor. He joined the church in Vienna as a pastor. While at St. Thomas Church, he continued to do research, raising bees and plants. He raised about 2,000 pea plants and discovered that they maintained certain rules of inheritance and wrote a study essay.

He was initially criticized and no one accepted him. After his death on January 6, 1900, a great deal of research was done in the field of biology after 1900, and his research was found to be true and his theory was universally accepted.
