Disha Parmar: Busy in her first project after marriage

Newlywed Disha Parmar has already got her hands on Ekta Kapoor directed serial. The reboot of season 1, the show will capture the journey of two people who are in their mid-thirties and find a way to love each other after their marriage. Since 2011 when Season 1 first aired today, 11 years later, a lot has changed and so has the dynamics between individuals.

Bringing these changes, challenges and much more to the fore, the new season of this serial will put Nakul Mehta and Disha Parmar in the cage of Ram and Priya's most chosen characters. The female protagonist who will play the role of Disha Parmar is naive and talks of returning to the set of the show soon after the wedding.

Being a part of it for me, I am very excited and nervous at the same time. There's a little bit of pressure but mostly I'm really waiting for people to see it. While the characters are still Ram and Priya, it is a new remedy in the age we are in today and the attitude towards love.

This is my first show after marriage and I think the experiences I have had and the feelings that I have now as a person will definitely help me to portray Priya's character better. Although I am very different from Priya personally, I can relate to her.

The secret is really my husband when it comes to managing personal and professional life. I will give him all the credit in the world. I tell him I got this show as soon as we got married. So, you are very lucky for me. I think it is because of this that I am able to maintain a balance between my personal and professional life. It has been very helpful.

Within 15 days of our wedding, I was back on set. He is very encouraging. I can’t thank my husband enough for this. It is a mystery that everything can be managed.

Since the first season Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar successfully paired the audience as Ram and Priya, putting their feet in their shoes will be challenging as they have left really huge shoes to fill. They are both such fabulous actors and I personally grew up and loved watching them, it’s a little push. 'Bade Achche-2' is a story with different people, different mentality and different challenges.

However, the essence remains the same. So, we’re not trying to copy them but I know there will be comparisons and I really hope and wish people would see this show and try to accept us. Because we have our heart in it. Fingers only.

This time the characters are a little different because times have changed. The show is coming back after 10 years, the problems are different, the situation and the kind of things that are happening in people's lives are different now. Therefore, we have tried to keep it as real as possible.

My experience so far for the show has been very surprising because even though you read the script, you learn a lot about the character every day. The director and the whole team are so wonderful, everyone invests so much in the show. It's a good feeling, it looks great.
