- In this mysterious place many wonderful things happen which even science cannot solve. Why would this place, which transmits divine power during the day, become a place of unintentional death at night?
H Suryaputraya Vidmahe, Mahakalaya Dhimahe. Tanno yamah prachodayat. Vidhata means God writes, Chitragupta reads, Yamadoot is caught and Yamaraj is punished. Not only the time of death but also the place is fixed which no one can avoid. Even in the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna has said that death is 'inevitable', which means the same thing - unavoidable. According to Hinduism, Yamaraj is the god of death. The place of Yamaraj in the scriptures is shown as Puri (city) of Samyam of Yamalok. His wife's name is Devi Dhumorna. Suryanarayana and Sanjna are his father and mother. Shanidev, Ashwinikumar are his brothers and Yami (Yamuna) Bhadra and Kalindi are his sisters. Katila and Yudhisthira are his sons. Yamadev carries weapons called danda, gada and pash and rides on buffalo. The scriptures mention that Yamaraj, Shraddhadev Manu and Yami were born to Lord Suryanarayana as the daughter of Vishwakarma. Yami later became known as Yamuna.
A place under the influence of Yamaraj, the god of death, is located on the way to Kailash Dham in the Himalayas. This place, which looks ordinary from the outside, and the monument like a stupa built in it, is a mysterious place where no one who lives at night survives! The place used to be a part of a united India but now it is part of India's neighboring country Tibet. This is a stupa which the Tibetans call Chorten Kang Nagy, which literally means two-legged stupa. According to Hindu mythology, the stupa is believed to be a mysterious gateway to the city of restraint of Yamalok, the god of death.
There is no mention of who built this gate in the stupa structure of a Buddhist temple and when. The abode of Lord Shiva is built on the way to Mount Kailash. The pilgrims go around it, pass through it and start their journey to Kailash. It is said that a person who goes through this can be freed from its negative energy, sin or guilt, become pure and enter Shiv Dham Kailas. According to the rule of 'Devo Bhutva Deva Yajet - to worship God by becoming (holy) like God', it is believed that this Yamadwar was built so that only Devadhideva can visit Shivdham if he assumes holiness like God. After passing through this place, they also get a divine experience that in fact immense faith and power is transmitted to the pilgrims. However at night the situation here is quite the opposite.
Staying overnight at Yamadwar Stupa is strictly forbidden. Although there is no legal prohibition on this, it is a matter of religious observance. So far there have been reports that all those who did not follow this belief and spent the night in it have died. It is difficult to say whether Yamaraj or Yamaduto himself would come here at night and punish those who violated the rules he had established, or whether those who lived there would die out of fear at the sight of their horrible appearance. Some of the locals believe that the stupa and its surroundings are haunted. However this effect only occurs at night. The ghosts that appear at this place at night take possession of the bodies and minds of the passengers who are staying there, which leads to their death. It is believed that ghosts are behind the strange happenings in this place.
In this mysterious place called Yamadwar, will an unknown dimension open at night which will take the occupants to Yamal? Is this the reason why it was named 'Yamadwar'? There are many incidents that make us believe this. Kathopanishad, Garuda Purana, Markandeya Purana, Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapurana etc. mention Yamaraj and Yamlok or Yamangari. According to the Puranas, Yamalok is shown to be at a distance of 2,000 yojanas in the south above the world of death. A plan has an area of about 5 km. The Yamlok is said to be spread over one lakh planning areas. It has four main gates. The demons and sinners of the South enter. It is a part surrounded by utter darkness. There he is punished for his misdeeds. The western gate gives entry to those who have sacrificed their lives in pilgrimages. They are admitted through the north gate. Who have done good deeds and good deeds. While those who have practiced high yoga get entry through the east gate. Have done penance, have done great sadhana with spiritual devotion. After Yamaraj Jivatma comes to this world, according to his karma, he provides motion in places like heaven or hell, Vaikuntha, Golok, Shivlok or Moksha. The motion of ghost world, patriarchal world or heaven is given from here.
This mysterious gateway on the way to Mount Kailash is also believed to be a divine, secret gateway to Yamalok. On one side of this gate is our Ihlok and on the other side is Parlok or Yamlok. The people of Tibet come to the Yamadwar Stupa and pull their body hair and offer it to the local deity. He believes that abandoning body hair is equivalent to abandoning the body. At this place, if the body is abandoned or the hair of the body is dedicated, sadgati is obtained. In the same way, Buddhist lama monks also come to this place and give up their lives so that they can attain Moksha.
This Yamadwar, which opens in the unknown dimension of the sky and time, is not just a Puranic idea as many mysterious events take place in this mysterious place which cannot be solved even by science. Why would this place, which transmits divine power during the day, become a place of sudden death at night? No one has been able to solve this mystery yet. What is certain, however, is that this seemingly simple architecture, built on the way to Mount Kailash, is a center of divine, enigmatic, mysterious energy connected to the mystical element of life and death. It is associated with Kailash. Kailash is also one of the most mysterious places on earth.
American neuroscientist John C. Lily M has a Human Multi-dimentional Projection Spaces. Georgetown University neuroscientist Dr. Carl Pribram also says that there are innumerable worlds hidden inside our brains. If consciousness enters any of these holographic worlds in the nerve synapses, it can go to another world or world. The same will happen in the case of Yamadwar or Kailash.
